I love the photo mode in this game. My current playthrough is a cyberpsycho woman with mantis blades/swords. :D Every cybernetic slot has been filled. Occasionally also uses tech rifles because railguns are always awesome.

Couldn't decide between the punk blonde or the brunette. :P

The photomode is just missing an adjustable shutter speed for action shots. I love the feature that allows you to set up 3 continuous lights.

I was listening to Autograph's Turn Up The Radio recently and it seemed to awaken my mania side, which had been dormant for the past 5+ years. I decided to channel that into these while it lasted. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

The image titles are a tribute to the late GTP member Arora, they were some of our favourite songs that I used to listen to with him.

I would like to do another set soon with some action shots.

I was going to resurrect this thread myself with new photos, but seeing as it's already been done...

Very nice stuff, the last two are my favourites, especially the 2nd to last. The back lighting, dust and composition are awesome in that one. The telescopes seem to be attracted to somewhere in particular. :D

I would like to re-shoot some of those with the way I have the game (and settings) now because only the 2nd and 4th shots are actually new. Everything else is old, with your favorite being the oldest or second oldest (I don't remember which playthrough that Jackie and Dum Dum shot is from  )

Just a little experiment with Path Tracing turned on:

I'm not sure where the graininess on the skin is coming from, hopefully not because of DLSS, if I turn that off my PC might explode. Could be supposed to look like that. But the hair looks amazing.

One other downside is, because I have turned on Path Tracing for photomode only, the exposure and lighting will look quite different in the final image than in the 'viewfinder.'

Did you turn on Ray Reconstruction? That helps with details like this, unless it's just a general issue with denoising.

Also, I use this as it gives a bit more flexibility with RT and PT: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/10490

Nice pad. :D

Thank ya. :D

I basically don't go anywhere else but the apartment in The Glen. It's the coziest and most spacious for whatever reason and then I found out there were mods that added and changed things.

Oh, and having played that damn arcade game as many times as I have, that's a reasonable reaction.

Did some more testing with Path Tracing.

All 3 photos were shot at 19:00 in the Glen apartment, with natural light, and 20 contrast applied in-game.

Test 1.webp

Ray Tracing: On, Psycho Lighting
Path Tracing: Off
Ray Reconstruction: Off

Test 2.webp

Path Tracing: On
Ray Reconstruction: Off

Test 3.webp

Path Tracing: On
Ray Reconstruction: On

Interesting results. For me it's a bit of a toss-up between 1 and 2, but I think I prefer the look of 1.

PT can be fussy and does require more tinkering than RT does, but when it's right you can really, really see what all of the additional light bounces do for things like skin specularity, light (especially brighter, vibrant colors) tingeing objects around it in a way RT can't.

But there are issues as well, the biggest one being noise (we're pretending performance is a non-issue  ), and in Cyberpunk you can get the occasional bugged shadow that makes absolutely no sense. It's much better now than when it was still a demo option but it still pops up from time to time.

I like the ideas in these three.

The bench shot could be better if the middle section of the bench wasn't as bright, distracting from the subject. Are you using a light here or is this bright spot coming from an interior light source?

I had a similar problem when shooting my white couch photo, I was trying to have the entire couch be evenly lit (and not overexposed) while also making sure the subject was well lit, but that proved to be a challenge. My solution was to instead have the couch get progressively brighter from left to right, encouraging your eyes to stay in the region of the frame where her face is.

Now for the umbrella shot, I just like the capture and soft glow.

The street shot has something interesting going on with the rails leading your eyes to the bottom right third of the frame. I would have liked to have seen more of the overhanging building at the top of the frame, but I'm probably nitpicking. :P

Oh, good call. I was using a light source (three, in fact) and I was so focused on getting rid of the 9 o'clock cascading shadow across my characters face that I wasn't even paying attention to the chair. :banghead:

That's exactly what I was going for with the umbrella shot, and the street was a spur of the moment "Oh, that looks cool" kind of thing because I just happened to look in that direction wondering why traffic was starting to build up.
