I;ll have a close look through and see what we can add.. I'll report back with a full list of cars ranging all over the standard and premium setup.

I like the sound of A classic touring car series or even A classic mini Series.. Sounds amazing...

A classic mini Series..
you may have just come up with the idea of the year, that could be absolutely brilliant! gonna have to dig my one out and give it a try, but you definately could be on to something there!

I'm buying some premium cars to give them a spin and see how they compare at 300HP and 1250 KG.
So far I have:
Focus ST
Integra DC
147 TI - Only one so far that needed a turbo :grumpy:
C30 R-Design
135 I Coupe

I'll buy some more.

The c30 and the st are 2.5 ;) , im being abit forceful on that rule cause if some 2.5litre cars are allowed people may want more allowed.

Sounds familiar some of them  .

I wish BTCC DLC would come to GT5, or at least some new cars...

~Toyota Avensis anyone~

Exactly what I thought.. It could be so entertaining! I'm not doing Classic Camaro or Challenger like Chris wants to, not my flavour!

I prefer low powered modern cars!

Alex, we both very well know that that would be you, me and Nate battling at 0:40! :D

Looks like it would be fun though!

ok, just been havin a play in a fully tuned '98 mini round cape ring inside, you guys should definately try one out, they really are a bit of a giggle lol. dunno if you'd wanna do a full season just using them, but some kind of mini (no pun intended lol) series between btcc and either gt3 or whatever could definately work!

I was actually gonna propose a Cooper S series. Set to the specs for the new seasonal (450PP, ~250bhp, ~1200kg) they'd be great fun on sports soft tyres. And with them being premium they also give us more ways to customise the look of the car.

I notice that the second most voted for option on this poll was sunday, which I'd prefer as I will probably be home quite a few weekends this first term and I'd love to pop into a lounge every now and then and say hello :)

What uni you going to mate?

Also I have A problem for enforcing hp regs etc. If it's a one make series then I want the car fully tuned so we have no HP reduction from installing better parts then down tuning....

Loughborough.

And that's a good point. I think the Mini will go to about 315bhp fully tuned, which is too much. What about a RM'd Mk4 Golf?

At some point you have to trust people as we did in this season with the use of power limit and ballast. I was down by 2 HP on the limit. ;)

EDIT: And by you I mean we.

Who in here thinks they can tune the 147 TI Alfa raise his hand. ;)

Damn car is to slow even with less 190 Kg. :ouch:

If someone thinks he can tune this car to do 53 around Suzuka East let me know and I'll send it to you.

So far I have this:

Still to test Volvo C30, 135 Coupe and Civic Type R.
Any other cars you guys want me to test?? Lets keep to premium ones that have any resemblance to a BTCC WTCC car or better yet as run in those or STCC.

what sort of power are you running these at Kamy? 300bhp I suppose?

As for cars, whats the story with the likes of the Lexus ISF? i cant remember the spec of the top of my head, but would that fit inside the regs?

The ISF has 400/500bhp standard lol

thats that one answered then lol, shame, i quite like it.....

other ones to try, as suggested the Mazda 6 Atenza, Mini Cooper S, Peugeot 307, Mk4 & Mk5 Golf, Z4 roadster, RX8 (it is only a 1.3 so fits well within the 2.0 engine size :P) Silvia S15

They are pretty much all of the premiums that fit within the 300bhp barrier out of the box - bar the older stuff (mk3 Supra, mach 1 Mustang etc etc) in either FF or FR format that havent been suggested, besdes the obvious stuff that has already been run in the BTCC series. Givces some food for thought, and a bit of testing can be carried out on all of em too :)

I can give the Alfa a go.

Thats in the sheet. :D
Bought a Golf GTI and I think we have enough cars. Now if I could log on to PSN I would do some more testing. :scared:

I can give the Alfa a go.

Good luck with that. :D:D:D
Car just seems awfull.
Bear (Lol, this is so wrong but I won't edit it out ;)) in mind I'm using Race hards. I think thats a good idea for the championship.

What is the time difference roughly between an online lounge and GT mode practice? Cos my PS3/internet is playing up and I can't connect to PSN at the moment.

Its a bit. FF cars don't suffer as much I think. What you can do is do 1 make races with real grip on and tire degradation on. Some say it's the same as online, while other say is as close as it gets.
I'm letting bob run in some cars for me. ;) 12 laps on the 24H Nurburgring

Fastest i have done at the moment in the Alfa is a 54.491 on Racing Med.
Going to carry on and try to get in the 53's

Lol. I need it to do 53's in Hards. Thats what I'm testing. Meds are a bit grippy if we reduce the power. Cars feel great on Hards. Execpt the Alfa ofc.
You probably be better not messing with the Alfa though. You are only a bit quicker in better tires than what I used. Forget it it's a lost cause.

Haven't touched the alfa only to the 300hp and 1060kg. Rest on the setup. My true opinion on it. It's crap. The tiniest mistakes makes you suffer badly with it.
Alfa feels like a boat on hards. Actually why we changing tires to hard? We running more laps in the races or is there no pit stop?

I'm fo'sure sticking with my beamer.

Mcglone.. Good idea! I'll be converting to RWD for the next season without A doubt. Show oyu lot that Kamy isn't an almighty force after all ;)
