D-Max BTCC Season 2

Would it be worth adding one extra lap to the race, and doing a warm up lap, line up on the grid, and at a set time announced by the room owner we start the race. Race Officials check everybodys start to make sure they didnt jump the start. That way we all have warm tyres :D
 
Yeh we know you guys are all clean racers, that series has a lot of new guys in it. Just bear in mind you can't win a race in the first corner!

Room up at 8pm, qually starts at 20 to 9 :)
 
Cracking couple of races tonight guys, really enjoyed them. Should of had at least 2 podiums but for 2 really stupid mistakes. In race 1 i just didnt break early enough going into ascari, got all crossed up trying to avoid saggyscrot but just nudged him into the gravel as i came back on the track. Really sorry about that saggyscrot. I slowed down and waited for him and that put me well down the field but up until that was a having a great race with moleman. Race 2. I didnt realise there was a mandatory stop and was off for the win! Luckily i heard knight mention it. I guess mics are good for one thing. Really dont know how you guys concentrate on racing and natter at the same time! Stopped on lap 11 or 12. Headed down to the first corner and kinda panicked as i saw the 50 metre board go past. Stupid mistake number 2. Managed to make it back to 4th by the flag. Congrats to moleman on his 2 wins and a great job by knight and frag for organising. Nice one guys.

Syjones - Race 1 lap 4 - Misjudged breaking zone cause Saggy 6 places from 2nd.

JackGTR - Race 1 lap 3 - Failed outbreak attempt at chicane, Caused Mcglone, Knight and Frag time and distance on cars ahead.

There was an incident during race 2 where Preisty lost out due to Sean not being able to see him. This needs to be figured out before the race next time.

The crash between Mcglone and Sean is mostly a mistake on Mcglones part. After you two touched twice, Sean did not hit a third time, you just had too much speed to make the rest of the corner, this unfortunately cost me finishing high, as I a had already been hit off the track by Mcglone on turn one due to drivers not leaving enough room.

Good to be back racing in this series, loved it. First race was quite tough, I thought it would come down to the final straight on the last lap to decide who would win it, but I got a bit lucky with Saggy and Sy having their accident at Ascari. Otherwise we were swapping places most corners (cleanly :)) and I think any one of us could have taken that race.

Race 2 I was just cautious, making the most of other people's mistakes to get ahead. In the end it turned out to be fairly straightforward as I got away from the pack a bit and managed to build a bit of a lead. The car was pretty tough on tyres though, was losing just under a second a lap to 2nd + 3rd for the last 3-4 laps (gap went from 10s --> 7s) - but I can't really complain, 2 wins and pole is pretty perfect.

I loved the confusion over who was driving the integra though, haha, "It's not Kamy it's Moleman" must have been said 2-3 times each race :D

Finally managed to throw this together with total scores:

I will work further on this tomorrow so I can create a table showing all points across all races, Kammy can you show me how you sorted yours?

I'm sure it'll be more interesting as we go through the series.

Yep :(

I knew he couldn't see me so I was beeping my horn in the hope he might be able to hear me, I guess not.

Pretty much a full pit manuover on the straight, luckily I didn't take anybody out in the aftermath but I wasn't happy!
 
I got booted out of the lounge 2 seconds before race one, and 5 laps into race 2 (which I led for 4).

I'm happy I showed I have reasonable pace, but probably could have been arrested for the torrent of profanity I was spewing after the second disconnect.
Hopefully next week will be better.

Well hosted and well organised though. Congratz.
 
During race I was having a good battle with moleman and knight then on about lap 4 or 5 moleman disappeared. I thought his connection must of bombed so i thought i was then racing knight for the lead but as I was pitting moleman miraculously reappeared again! Anyone else experience anything like this?
 
Brilliant night last night chaps! Feels good to be back and racing in a series :D

Had a great ding dong battle with Sean for the majority of race 1 lol!

I have no idea how I avoided the 2 bananas as one took the other out :P But delighted I did haha :D

Not looking forward to Cape Ring much, so will be happy to get it out of the way! Until then, I need to go play with the Focus, and sort out a few bits that I'm not happy with :)
 
Sorry for the tap at the chicane guys....i had abit of lag whenever i passed a car or if a car passed me they would jump back and forth and when i was braking most of the time the track would lag :(

Just noticed you have Kickstart twice, 9pts and 4pts :/
 
All i'm going to say is i did have enough speed to make the corner i decided to go out wide then moves across a touch which a tap with sean. That made me flick and touch the grass. Hey ho i'm not going to argue and by the way we didn't hit on second race? Whether that was the traffic at turn one and you rear ended me a bit but nothing to hurt anyone else. I don't no, can't recall that.
 
I ran a few with Sean and Chris after the race on Tuesday. I'm currently a couple of secs off the times that Chris was setting.....

Should be a good battle for us FF's, the FR's should have a good advantage methinks, unless all of us FF's gang up and create a rolling road block :P

I've had it a couple of months now chief!

Got sick of that Irish flag (what was I thinking!?!?), and idiots (particularly Americans (no offence) asking if the Cally in "Cally-Dave" meant California. So I decided that enough was enough, adopted the GTP for this place, changed the flag to the Motherland, and sorted my name :D Result :sly:

I personally think Jhodas sounds like he could be related a bit to a cross between HMS and Bradders lol :P

I honestly have no idea what times they were posting, somewhere around the 2:05 i think for myself, Cjris hit a 2.02 possibly..... I could have the wrong times though...... I'm sure either himself or Sean might have a better memory than me, I've slept too much since then :P

Jhodas, did you get my PM on Tuesday before the race? We need to be discussing stuff NOW!!!! :P
