I wonder what wrathall can do against the honda's and is plato looking to spoil someones weekend? aha

aww those. i wouldnt say so

And they call me the boss for a reason. Guy couldn't for the life of him figure out why A Gallardo wouldn't change gear. No warning lights! Stripped it down to the bone and rebuilt, no fault. I come in and connect the sensors at the steering wheel for the paddles.

That's why IM the boss! haha

Lol. what a fool. I would of asked someone before i even attempt to take it apart or even looking on google is pretty handle if you don't know a problem. I used google to figure out how to unflood a RX-8 and worked. ;)

How did you manage to flood it in the first place?

McGlone give me a timeframe for a Clutch out and in, in your garage? Had one done in record time the day!

RX-8 wasn't being used much and it sat outside for months. Turns out it happens a lot with RX-8 then need to have a good blast here and there.

Unfair cause i work with the world's slowest guy. Oh yeah actually started working on taking out a transit gearbox. Didn't have long so we only managed to take off the prop shaft. But other mechanic's at my garage managed to get a gear box in and out in a hour with a transit. Must vary between car's.

Trannie is ridiculously easy underneath!. Had it out and back in withing an hour. EASY!!! haha. Oh and I wedged the Reverse sensor cable between the block and the gearbox :L. Just cut the wire and made a couple of spade terminals!. Loosened the casing and swung the box up to get the sensor!. Happy days!.

But aye, in all fairness, it wasn't the guy working on the Gallardo that jumped in it to see why it wasn't changing gear. It was in for a box replacement and the other muppet disconnected the paddles for some stupid reason :s.

As to the RX-8, never dealt with one so that sounds fair, as to it flooding. Actually got a trannie in tomorrow for gear linkage cables. Snapped them both clean in 2!

The trannie going to be the first Rwd gearbox i've taken out. Pretty much everything else i've done has been crappy french vans and cars. I think there's a cam belt in tomorrow to and a few services. Finally got more work than cleaning up.

Is it not a busy place? Don't you get Taxi's in? I do some contract work for a few mates who own taxi businesses. Do a lot of RWD Superbs. Easiest gearbox in the world. Don't even need to get the wheels off the thing!

My place also does bodywork. But we do get work from 2 firms, one does removals and the other one does repairs and maintaines lifts. One taxi always coming in for work and stuff. I think my boss is looking into it because we don't have enough work to do with just public people coming in. We really do need a few contracts. We even have our own tow truck on the go now so more recovery's.

We do have a MOT station. Was busy as hell today. But it's going to be dead for two days because mot man has booked time off. We right away from the main street and there's like 5 or 6 other garages on the same estate. So we pretty much one of the last to be seen.

The trannie going to be the first Rwd gearbox i've taken out.
Alot Easier that fwd because there isn't as much crap to take off. 4wd is another story, Especially when it comes to doing stuff with stupidly placed diffs and mid mounted engines with no space at the top. Hence the whole rear section of the car getting demolished!

Why doesn't your gaffer move garage then? A friend of mine was in a place that was really busy then someone moved in next door and he kinda died off a little. Moved to an industrial estate where there is no garages, and he is making a mint!.

Don't know about the money side of things, although again there was talks about moving somewhere else. The garage at the moment is a decent size. 2 ramps and 1 mot ramp then another ramp in the bodyshop and a spray booth.

Old but one of the best videos ;)

Jesus it's 9 already! Where has the day gone!.

Well, Money that you have, only plays part in moving garage. I didn't really look at what I have. I looked at what I can afford after the first few month. I had to dig out a pit for the MOT ramp and buy ramps and all the other equipment. Already had all the tools though.

Have you started anything along the lines of tools?

Not yet. My main aim was to get a car first to start getting working my way to a years no claims. Tools will probs come around september when i'll have a years experience.

Wait your garage is yours yeah? How old was you when you started that?
