I live outside detroit and the word is that Proof from D12 was shot this morning along with another person. That other person is believed to be Bizzare.
This is the only thing I could find on the internet about it.
Dont know if you like D12 but either way its a crappy situation.

WTF man. People are really messed up. Now it's going to spark another sad-sack fest among the rap community. Proof was alright, though. Not my favorite guy, but oh well.

RIP. I'm never going to 8 mile.

Check the link above, alittle more info.

I wasnt a huge d12 fan, but Proof was easily the most talented mc among them and could freestyle like a mad man.
Anyways, wether you like em or not, theres no need for senseless killing.

More pointless violence that does nothing but fuel hatred amoung people who love to hate eachother and for groups. Hopefully this doesn't start another east coast/west coast type of battle that we saw after Tupac was shot, it really did take too many years to break free from that senseless war of words and bullets.

RIP Proof

You know what's sad? I live just north of Detroit and I didn't hear anything about this.

Are you serious? I listened to WJR (biggest news station in the country) and didn't hear anything. But really I don't see this as all the important. Plenty of people get shot in Detroit on a daily basis, its not even surprising to me. But people seem to make a big deal when its a rapper...but I say what about the little kids who are shot quite often? Why don't they make the news?

But really it's quite ironic, a rapper who sings about shooting people, doing drugs, and what not gets shot.

On avg, 11 people are shot in detroit each night.

Thats ALOT of people.

People make a big deal out of this because he is a known person. He had a pretty big impact on society, at least bigger than the little girl, grandpa, mother that was murdered the night before. Sad, but true...

Not a rap or hip hop fan, but these damn senseless violence needs to stop!
RIP Proof.

Welcome to everyday Detroit. A corrupt government has really done the city in, no wonder why people are in a mass exodus of the D.

this is sad news :( didnt obie trice get shot twice recently? he still has one bullet in his head because its too danerous to operate.

Give em all guns and let them settle things once and for all... Put em in a bullet proof glass box... Have it on pay per view to see who's the tuffest bad ass out there and settle this childish stupidity... I've never ever heard of such miserable millionairs in my life... It's always the same... Today in the NEWS, one rich rap star shot and killed another rich rap star because he had a smirk on his face. Sources say the shooter is one bad motha! It's so stupid... Give me a million dollars and see how much I care about some idiot talking smack about me... I'll be to busy drinking champagne out some hot chick's belly button on my jet on my way to the tropics...

"You don't know where to begin when you lose somebody who's such a big part of your life for so long. Proof and I were brothers. He pushed me to become who I am. Without Proof's guidance and encouragement there would have been a Marshall Mathers, but probably not an Eminem and certainly never a Slim Shady. Not a day will go by without his spirit and influence around us all. He will be missed as a friend, father and both the heart and ambassador of Detroit hip-hop.

Right now, there's a lot of people focusing on the way he died. I want to remember the way he lived. Proof was funny, he was smart, he was charming. He inspired everyone around him. He can never, ever be replaced. He was, and always will be, my best friend."

Wow, didn't hear about this, it's sad and i hope that no violence sparks from this.
