Da Coppers!

Wow....it stopped. I thought this thread was dead for sure. Anyway.....anyone seen any other Japanese cop cars beside the Scooby in the UK? It seems like we've seen plenty of mustangs, camaros, vipers, and other stuff, but not much Japanese. Any Japanese members to tell us what they drive over there?

Or is it just the fact that American cars go faster that makes the Japanese ones unsuitable for cop work :trouble:

I shouldnt have said that, should I?
 
In Toronto, the only really special cop car I've seen was a Marked Chevy Camaro 4 or 5 years ago. Otherwise, it's pretty standard, lots of marked/unmarked Crown Vics and Impalas. Our police force doesn't have the funds to buy many new cars. They don't even have a helicopter!

Oh yeah, I've also seen a riced out Civic SiR cop car at some ricer shows.

Don't Japanese cops use Skylines? I could have sworn I saw a picture of one once.

I have no radar detector and never have or will. I have never been stopped by the police, and I've been driving 10 years (well, 9.6).

The solution for not being pulled over while speeding? Don't speed.


Jpec - your story. Isn't that "entrapment"? No crime would have been committed if it weren't for the actions of the policeman. That said I have no sympathy at all.
 
Well my big brother let me drive to my aunts house today and it took a good 20 mins and we passed a cop and it didnt ven notice me driving. The irony of this story is the fact that im 14.

My school has its own police officer (I guess you need one with a school population of almost 3000), we always have cops around,,,I remember there where like 10 police cars one day, out with dogs and there was a helicopter....some one says it was because there was a kid who brought a shotgun to school.....kinda scary...
