So, how long do you GTP'ers have been driving around in your daily driver?

I've been cruising for 7,5 years now in my trusty and rusty 1991 mk2 Golf 1.6.

Mods, close it if there is already a thread like this, couldn't find it..

I've had mine for two years and four and a half months, and still enjoy driving it.

I replaced my trusty 1993 Toyota Corolla last year, May 2010. I've had it since 2001 and bought it from a friend with 90,000 miles. When I donated it, it clocked @ 260,000 miles.
Replaced it with 2001 Subaru outback

1994 Honda Accord VTi, I've been driving it for approximately two weeks :P

My previous car, my 1988 Nissan Skyline GXE, was owned for 3 years.

I've had my miata for just over a year and a half. I normally drive my cars until they have some pretty high mileage or until they start to fall apart.

Bought my 2002 BMW 325i in March of '04 with about 8,000 miles on the clock. Up to 181,000 now, more than 7 years later.

About 3.5 years now. Looking for something else to drive though. Mainly because I want to track my current car.

I've had my 1999 Chevy Blazer for 8 years now. It had 20k miles or so when I got it and now it just passed 144k miles the other day. It's showing it's age and a few weeks ago I had to replace the alternator and the battery, and it's had various 4wd and transmission problems over the years but it still keeps pluggin along. I'm driving it till it blows up.

I've had my trusty Mazda 3 for five years and 76,000 miles. Next spring, I'm toying with the idea of finding a suitable Owner #2 for it...another 4-wheeled friend is on my mind ;).

4 months now, already managed to put 8,300 miles on it too! I'm on course for about 25,000 miles over a year.

Coming up to 2 years and (I think) 21k in my possession. Admittedly it spent 4 months of that sitting still, but there we are.

Had my DD F150 for a week short of 2 years, put 22k on it so far, and still running like a top.

Not bad for $200!

I've had my Tundra for about a year now. My Ranger broke down, so I got something that wouldn't.:)

But I'm looking for something different. The truck sucks with gas.

We got the Corolla in 2003, and Mom's driven it until May 2011, when she bought a VW Golf TDI. I've been driving the Corolla since June of this year, and I've put on about 4.5 thousand km while I've been driving it. It was at around 147,000km when I started driving it, and it's now at about 151,500km. It keeps on trucking (er...compact sedaning), taking me to and from work, and where ever it is I need to go.

Really happy with the Corolla, I mean the car enthusiast in me finds it boring, but the realist in me sees that I'm a kid who's only been driving for 11 months, and I don't need any more power than what the Corolla has. And I guess the relatively lacking performance is offset by the fact that I can get 50+ mpg if I do 80km/h on the country roads around here.

Be glad you haven't driven anything better, you'd never want to even look at the 'rolla again

Hahah, even my friend's Grand Am is more fun to drive. Although really, I don't mind, I see it as paying my dues. I'm new to driving, so a Corolla fits the bill perfectly. I can't complain, it's an '03, my parents have taken good care of it, so it's in fantastic shape. Maybe in a year or two when I have some driving experience (and money), I'll buy something sportier. Also, it's basically a free car if I don't piss off my parents. I have to pay for everything, gas, maintenance, etc. but the car itself was basically free.

Had my Fiat for about 10 months and done around 7k miles.

Longest I owned a daily for was my old Fiesta, which I had for around 6.5 years.

Next week marks 8 years since I bought the MX-3.

2002 toyota celica gt, still getting 35+ mpg or 490-510 miles/13.xx tank. Only maintenance so far is oil/brakes/battery/tires, no engine service yet. 122k miles.

I must be spoiled, I started driving in a Mustang and a 5 speed Escape that was stupid fun :)

Sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders though, need more people our age like that!

How do you get 50mpg? Or is mpg calculated different in Canada like it is in the UK?

Have had my Civic since buying it new September 27th, 2008. 43k miles now, currently commuting about 300 miles to class each week.

I have had both for about 8 months now.
My R6 mostly though, I've put 2000 miles on it. Then I believe 1000 on my 'Rex.
Course come winter my Town car is were I will be and that has 200k plus on it so more miles don't really matter.

PB speaks the truth, my Blazer hit the 50k wall and everything went to hell but it kept on trucking. I saw it for sale on auto trader about a month back and the guy selling it had almost 200,000 miles on it and it was still lowered. Blazers take it like a champ.

I had my 2001 Escort(52K when I got it) for about nearly a year but I rarely drove in it and only put in 10K miles till it blew up(No pictures, I hated it with a passion). Thing got 33mpg on the highway and a full 12 gallon tank lasted for 275 miles. But due to my boredom I drove it like mad.

But now I drive my Malibu for the past four months and it is the most fun I've had on the road. Already put 6K miles on it since I got it with 82.5K miles. I plan on driving this car for a long time and look forward to driving the throaty V6 engine everyday.

I've had my 1998 Toyota Celica GT since May of 2008, and have put a little less than 54,000 miles on her since. She just rolled over 130K this weekend, and for the most part, it has been a trouble-free experience. Aside from a few issues here and there, nothing too substantial has gone wrong. She needs a new timining belt, and new tires will have to get put on before the season gets too wet. But, aside from that, it has been the most trouble-free car I've owned.

The weird thing is about the Celica is that while I really do like the car, I've yet to completely fall in love with it, even though it has been four years. Meiko is a fantastic car, I like that it has the ability to be sporty when necessary, but also fairly comfortable otherwise. It is surprisingly comfortable on road trips, even if my friends complain about the headroom. I've managed about 27 MPG on average since I purchased it, I feel that is pretty reasonable given the car's size and short gearing.

I still have tentative plans for other vehicles, but with the unstable economy and the known fact that my tuition payments will be coming in full force next year, I haven't made the jump into the new car market yet.

I wouldn't say "like a champ", but they continue to run even when held together by hopes and dreams.

Ford F150s do as well.

My girlfriend's '98 blazer had an ounce of metal shaving come out of it last time I changed the oil, and her tranny has metal shavings all up in it too. The thing won't die! It was running on a junked fuel pump for a while, ac works sometimes, 4x4 works. Sounds like it's dying but it still runs strong. 103,000 on the odometer. And it was stolen in Tenn. and brought down here where it got sold, and then had the crap beaten out of it, and then my gf got it. It's insane how it keeps running like nothing is wrong.

My truck runs on a steady diet of hopes, dreams, and curse words
