Daily race results with different outcomes? WTF?

I just raced the Daily race at Suzuka online. A local friend of mine was in the race too. He started one place ahead of me. He's way faster than me at Suzuka and I lost sight of him. At the end of the race it said I had finished 14th and my friend had finished in 16th. I called him to give him a hard time and he said on his screen it said he finished 9th and I finished 15th. I saved a screenshot of it but unfortunately he didn't. The fact remains that we each saw different results. I know he wasn't making it up though. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? How could GT Sport show each of us completely different results for the same race? Is this some sort of glitch? Or does this happen all the time? If it does happen all the time would any of us even know unless we were comparing results of the same race with others? It kind of makes you wonder. Has anyone else seen this happen???

Yesterday the Daily Faces were weird. I saw lag as I'd never seen before. But what you describe is really strange...
 
At suzuka,i was driving behind someone yet the screen placinģs had him two positions back. I thought the game was giving him a live penalty. Lol
 
Yeah it will almost definitely be the lag issues. The fact that it’s pd’s servers not connecting with psn servers properly gives a good idea of what will happen. Cars having the worst lag pull see and cars ghosting(totally disappearing not kaz collision ghost)/In wrong positions
