So on GT5 i used to have a sheet of paper inside my case that told me what was what. But even thoguh i lost the paper im pretty sure im doing it right.

But i feel like what im doing to increase oversteer while on the gas is creating understeer, and i can't tell if its doing one of the other, or if its just the Placebo effect getting to me.

Can somebody tell me how they work. Like do this to make understeer and do this to create oversteer?

Somebody in past made a little playground see-saw and i found that really helpfull.

Just something to help me remember. Thank you :)

I remember the see-saw diagram, it was very good. It helped explain the idea that compression and extension work together to manage the rate of weight transfer.

For example, stiffer rear compression reduces the rate of weight transfer onto rear tyres and stiffer front extension slows the rate at which weight shifts off the front tyres. This scenario will work together to help keep weight to the front of the car to maintain front grip under acceleration, reducing understeer on corner exit.

I found that idea to be quite effective in GT5 but not so much in GT6, although in the absence of more compelling theories, I still use the principle.

In this game, I find that establishing a good overall balance of stiffness/softness with springs and arbs eg setting front/rear 3/3 or 5/5 or 7/7 gets more pronounced results.
