So I'm dying to get a Cerbera Speed 12. I've been doing loads of B-Spec races today while I work, and decided to check the Used Cars. At the bottom of the list is a 259,874cr Speed 12 with 74km on the clock, 799bhp, 1020kg...

My A-Spec is level 20, the car is level 21. Absolutely sod's law! On the plus side, there's a Mustang SVT Cobra R '00 just above it, so it's not all bad.

Anyone else had similar moments? I did have one when I first started the game, the Mine's Evo VI showed up in the very first batch, 150,000ish cr, and I was nowhere near the required level. I guess we'll be playing the game for a long time to come so it's not such a problem, but even so!

Yeah, the car I wanted most was the '69 Corvette L46. One showed up on the lot the first day I had the game, but of couse I couldn't afford it. It took five days to find another one.
 
I've just leveled up to level 23 so i'm expecting the Formula GT (F1 car) to appear soon to give me a kick in the teeth
 
Not quite that bad. ;) But I'm sure most of us have had many of these unexpected moments when we bumped into unseen walls in GT5. Just buying my first car, I can't remember what it is exactly because I couldn't get anything above level 0. Meh.

GT5 is sure a strange lady. Her cooking is hit and miss, she chews on the furniture, but it sure is fun to run around her curves.
 
I'd like to see this thread removed from the forum entirely because of the title.
 
I'm still looking for the Tickford Race Car. Hasn't popped up once; and I've cycled the Car Lot, A LOT of times!
 
I've seen a few cars slip by due to lack of funds or levels...

What bothers me more than having them slip by is having to go to the used lot over and over to see what's slipping by... I really wish there was a way to keep an eye on that used section without hopping through multiple loading screens every few races... and if I could set some alarms so the used lot guy would "call me" when a certain car came in... they do that in real life you know... used car guys are tenacious and will do almost anything if they know they will earn your business...

Oh don't get me wrong, I am not endorsing the foul language, but that title is a far cry from the crude comments found elsewhere on the internet.

In any case, my comment was meant as a joke, not a criticism.:)

I didn't know damn was an obscene word...

Anyway I already had a Formula GT come up a couple times for 6,000,000 and I didn't give it a second look. What I'm really waiting for is a Toyota 2000GT and I have yet to see one pop up at all.
 
Title is unnecessary and could be offensive to some. I do like the Speed 12 a lot and its too bad you missed it. Im sure it will show up again.
 
Love the Speed 12. To think the solution to make it "more controllable" is to put a turbo on it. Yes, it will raise the HP up to 1200, but both torque and HP are moved to the upper range of RPMS. With this, it can be driven with no assists(for the ones who use them), although with race tyres.
 
Yea. I raised over 90k to buy a used Dodge Viper only to realize that I needed another 2 levels. Same thing with a beautiful 426 Dodge Charger.

Same here. When I paly any GT for the first time, there is only one car in my mind: Dodge Viper... Now that I have both the SRT10 and the ACR, I´m happy. Oh, and the ACR has proven to be the king. I though it was going to be crushed by the ZR1, but so far none of my other cars have been able to beat it. Not the ZR1, SLS, 599, or similars.👍
 
If a word is not filtered out by the swear filter it's probably ok...unless it's some new obscenity that hasn't been added :lol:.

On topic though, the used car dealer annoys me. Some cars seem to show up frequently while others rarely show up. There is almost always a GT40 in there everytime I look. I was lucky enough to pick up the GT Pace Car though!

Lol i will join the club on that one, Been level 23 for a day or 2 now and only got 2million Credits. I heard it costs something around 5million :|

Anyhow, good to see there are no hurt feelings in here. Let's keep criticism constructive, sensible and civil, and we may eventually get the GT5 we wanted. Because, this system... yeow, is it strange.

Yeah...i´ve found it, but didnt bought it. I´m waiting for the Lotus Carlson show up!
 
Had to choose between the car I wanted and the car I needed. Although it does lead to disappointment, I actually like the sense of rarity that some cars have these days. The only problem is that every time I get a respectable amount of cash in the bank, a car shows up in the Used Lot that I MUST HAVE RIGHT NOW.

That's one thing that annoys me about the game. You are forced to choose between a car you want or a car you need.

Aren't we sad? Gran Turismo car addiction, one of the worst conditions around, resulting in unnecessary grinding and bloated garages. AND I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT!! :lol:
