I was working on my recently restarted game.
In fact I got the 75% "Trifecta" yesterday.:D
(worked it in such a fashion that I finished Amateur league, The Nissan GTR races, and 75% at the same time, winning three cars at once)

Anyway, I've decided to clean up the enduros before moving on to finish the Professional Level. So I've go my NSX S-Type Zero on T2's running the Trial Mountain enduro.
The competition is getting SPANKED. I was just trying to keep the old girl running 6 laps every 10 minutes.
So, I'm 104 minutes into the race, just cruising along about a lap + ahead of the nearest competitor.
When the power flickers out!!!
:banghead:

Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper right now.

I would love to laugh but I was making a drink when my gf unplugged the PS2 to do some hoovering, I was on lap 92 of the 2 hours round rome race. Nasty stuff, needless to say but she had alot to do to make up for it.

Well, I guess, I'll take my next shot in a little less car.
I was getting bored not running with any kind of competition.

That is almost the apitamy of Teh Suck Gil, but there would only be one thing worse then that. . . Finishing the R246 Enduro then having the PS2 lock up on you when it is givning you the prize car that is an F1 in which you feel you need the money from it to hook up both your new Mustang and Camaro SS with. . . :(

I think Monty Python said it best in "Life of Brian"

Always look on the bright side of life

Sucks to hear that Gil. Good luck on the restart

At least your not trying to spell it like Dan Qualye :D

I had that happen with me and NFS: Underground. I was up to level 68 and I had not saved yet because my memory card was missing. Hydro flashed out and I spazzed and started throwing my controller. I have not touched the game again since.

Con-sarn it!

dan quale actually spell 'it'?
i didn't know that.

the world IS full of surprises.

Gil-****it!

This hasn't happened to me yet. Well, not with GT3 at least.

I though you spell like "itt"

Exactly how hard is it to spell "Quayle" correctly? It's only six letters, you know.

l4s: Too much car. If you're on lap 92 of the Rome enduro, you must be trying a record, not an even race.

No pwer glitches, but I have forgotten to save on a few occasions.:banghead:

Apparently harder then spelling a five letter word like "power" :D

And personnally if I cared how to spell Quayle then I would change it, but apparently I could really give a rat arse. . . now learn to use a little manners before calling others out. :D

I think you misunderstood my post, I was on lap 92 and had paused the game to make a drink and when I got back the PS2 had been unplugged for the hoover.

I have my PS2 running off a Belkin 500VA UPS ($30us). It has no AVR, but it gives me plenty of time to save, while playing.
If the game is running unattended, it might give you enough time to run back and save, if you are quick to notice that the power has failed.

You'd think so, but they're alluding to the time Dan Quayle - on the election trail - corrected a small child's spelling of the word "Potato" by adding an "e" on the end of it.

92 laps is trying for a record? Okay, so you only really need to make 74 laps - but the race is going to last 2 hours any way you look at it. I managed 111 laps in the P001 (and I'm only second :D)

I've never had the power go out on me while doing an enduro, once I did do the Laguna Seca 200 and like 5 minutes after I saved and shut my PS2 off the power did go out.
I had a nice laugh afterwards.

And I believe "dang-nabbit" is correct.

sry to hear that dude... i think ******* piece of s*** PS2... its the correct translation...

You're lucky you weren't trying to save the game onto the memory card when the power went out. Say bye-bye to the whole entire game save.

cant help myself, dag nabbits
I'm running wild, lost control..

sorry, I am old and you therefore have to excuse my outburst of nostalgic music :p

I found an old PS memory card lying around in my flat with 'GT2 Save Game' written on it. I remembered that when I had GT2 back in the UK I had spent ages building up a selection of 96 cars, most of them set up to my personal preferance. So, after finding the memory card, I wen tout and bought a copy of GT2, got back home, put in the game, loaded her up and had a nostalgic drive of a couple of my cars. Then, I made the fatal error of trying the Arcade disk without loading, put in a good time on Trial Mountain with the NS-X and decided to save the game.............you can guess what happened when I tried to load up the old memory card in GT Mode.

"Wait a second, why's the music playing? Wait a second, why does it say 'day 1'? Wait a second, why do I have only Y100,000? Wait a second, why are there no cars in my garage? Wait a second, have I just done what I think I've done? Aaaaaaggggghhhhhh!!!":banghead:

Haven't played it since!

I feel for ya Gil, due to my experiences in a simmilar thread I created. This is why I think it maight be a good idea to allow saving on endurances in GT4.
