I ran into the Arbiter's Maze glitch where once you press the button to read the book the game freezes/lock-up requiring a system restart. This fix was posted on the Darksiders forum. I ended up turning everything off/low and thank goodness, it worked for me. This fix seems to work for some, but not others.

Arbiter's Maze Fix

1. Go into the room with the book
2. Let game quick save
3. Quit game
4. Load game in the room.
5. Walk towards the book until the "touch book appears"
6. Pause and go to options
7. Turn off every checked box (vibrate, auto pick up...etc)
8. Turn all music and sound to zero
9. Lower gamma to half
10. leave menu (game will save)
11. Click book.

Also, once you're in the maze and you complete a level you can return to the beginning and quick-travel out of the maze and buy more health & magic potions. When you return select the book and you will return to the level you left off at.👍

I am playing through the PS3 version. So far and thankfully, I've managed to get passed 2 game breaking bugs. Many over on the Darksiders forums are having many more issues with Darksiders II across all platforms.

I completed the Arbiters Maze(you get a very nice Scythe on Level 5. 👍) and many side quests yesterday. Later today I will continue with the main story. I tend to side track myself with the side quests haha. Thanks to the side quests, I think I'm very close to 30+ hours in so far.

I think I finished my first playthrough in just under thirty hours or so. Did most of the side quests as well - I just left out the ones that make you collect stuff in random locations. Power Stone Bites and such. Also, it kinda annoys me that you're stuck at level 22 until you start a New Game +.

I'll wait until the patch to finish my 1st playthrough. 4-5 freezes so far and more frequent after getting the demon key.

EU PS3 patch now live.

Ran into a few more glitches playing through apocalyptic NG+. Post patch glitches/bugs.

-During the Construct Hulk boss battle I couldn't pick up some of the bombs that dropped.

-Within The Scar side-quest, a previously unlocked door was locked, resulting in me running around for 30 minutes and then finally suiciding myself to fix the glitch.

-Freeze while in The Scar. Hard system restart required.

-Profile linking still isn't working for me, even after completing the necessary steps weeks ago, so I'm unable to view my stats online.

Currently on my way to the dungeon before facing Gnashor. I really enjoy the interaction between Death & The Chancellor!

My character is now level 30 and have made it to The IVory Citadel on Apocalyptic difficulty NG+. A much smoother playthrough so far post-patch. So far I've had 1 freeze & 1 locked door glitch.

Most of the issues I had pre-patch started after Blackstone, so I'll see what happens once I reach that point post-patch.

Darksiders 2 first DLC, Argul's Tomb, comes for Death on September 25

Darksiders Forum
It has come to our attention that an early version of Argul’s Tomb was accidentally released early on Xbox LIVE yesterday. This has now been removed and will be available again on the official release date, the 25th September.

Limited Edition customers should be receiving their complimentary code for Argul’s Tomb over the course of this week. They will be able to download and play the content as soon as they receive it rather than waiting until the 25th, our way of saying thank you for all your support.

Don’t worry if you were fortunate enough to purchase an early copy of Argul’s Tomb you will be able to keep playing it.

THQ are emailing codes for the Argul's Tomb DLC to those who entered their voucher codes.

I just got the platinum trophy. Despite the bothersome issues/bugs, I had a great time with it. 👍

I've had a great time with DS2 as well, but I've got to be honest: I've traded it in already as a down payment for Forza Horizon. The game was great, but a single playthrough was enough for me.
