With the RX-7 Type R officially arriving in this month's update (the first 2022 datamine car we've seen since the Avantime), here's what's left from the original OP. 37 cars to go; 30 if you assume the Lotuses aren't going to show.

There is also the mysterious _280_d_25 and hs_vision_gt from the Polestar/Panda leak; these I've not included since we have no idea what they are.

Frankly I am as suprised as you are, dear reader, that the NB and NC MX-5s have survived on this list for so long.

In that old leak showing the mysterious _280_d_25, it was name linked to Lexus in another context, and with it being labeled as a 2025 model, it seems reasonable to assume it was probably the demo car featured in this video.

There are also a few more interesting sound effect names, possibly hinting at other cars being worked.

Decided to do the exact opposite of what @Nakano219 did: all the cars from the original datamine added so far, with further details.

A few conclusions:
  • That's 42 cars added vs. 36 yet to be added. We're a little more than halfway there.
  • That's 21 returning cars vs. 21 new-to-series cars. An impressive number I might say, since for the additions outside this datamine, the rate of returning cars is much smaller compared to non-returning ones.
  • Among the returnees, that's only 7 premium models added out of these 21 cars.
  • Interestingly, the uppercase coded cars have had more chances to appear in all these years than the lowercase cars. That's a nearly 70% rate for the uppercase cars.

But where exactly does this image/line of code come from?

I honestly haven't quite figured out yet which section of the GT it's in, even though I've looked at the contents of the GT.VOL file for various GTs many times, I can't find any file that looks anything like this. :odd:

Other than being happy for the Fulvia, I had to go and look what this 997Kremer is, only for my heart to jump a little, since it looks like a bodykit to recreate the Moby Dick on 2017 Porsche 911, addressing one of the most painful absences for me. I miss the Moby Dick so much that I had to go and slap a dedicated livery on a MX5 race car swapped with the quadrotor just for the sake of it

I’d have to believe all the German cars would make it in this game. They just fit right with what have been added. The 964 Turbo adds to the “base” model and sport models we’ve gotten in many brands. I mean, the Yellowbird, nothing is promised of course, but geez. Looks promising with recent news and the Ruf cars already added. The classic BMWs and Audi S1.

RS 6 Avant, M5 and 500 E read like a daggone Autobahn themed pack.

If they’re all(bar Lotus) coming to GT7, shoeing them in with say Pebble Beach winners and unseen new to the franchise and returning cars, will be interesting how PD package them all in possible future updates.
