Date and time are wrong? COMPLETED

Hello guys,
I have a question.
When I start Gt5 it says hol the time your date and time are wrong but when I check it in the XMB menu it says just the real time any clue because its irritating my hole the time.

When you set the time on the PS3 it must be set with internet not manually .

Joe public Are dumb as a post when it comes to time.
Any thing to do with Daylight savings, GMT, UTC and time zones goes right over their heads.
Users who have not used there PS3 Since Saturday are very likely to repeat this post multi times.
As they NEVER search.

I didn't mean anything personal, I just remember how many different people started threads about it last time. I think I figured it out by asking people online in the game, after putting up with it for like a month.

GT5 is the only game I've seen do it this way.

It was months before Saturday when the time had changed months before it. I had this problem in March or April

This isn't related to the time change, at all.

To the OP, this happens to me from time to time. It doesn't appear to affect anything, and will clear up on its own. You can go into the XMB and try to re-sync the time. This doesn't always fix it, but it never makes it worse. As someone else said, use the internet option, and don't set the time manually.


As to how I know this isn't related to the time change...

I logged into GT5 today before I toggled the DST flag. I did not get the error. I also did not get my daily paint/museum card allocation until I backed out of GT5 and corrected the time.

I see it but am too lazy to fix. It doesn't really bother me. It pops up once when I turn on GT5 and I ignore it. Easy breezy.

This happened to me yesterday, also. I manually changed the time from daylight savings to standard and it fixed it. Maybe it has to do with what kind of PS3 you have or when it was made as to whether it fixes itself or not.
