I kinda do the inverse...gives me good acceleration and gets me to about 180-185 on the straight

hey milefile here are some suggestions for future weekly races:

- any car on rome night (don't know if it's been done before)
- Speed 12 on Grindelwald, that should be a tough one
- Cerbera LM on Deepforest is pretty neat too
 
A race using the Lotus Esprit GT1...best car in the game, I think.
 
I vote for using totally stock cars found on the arcade mode disc.

A true driver's test.

I need to get more familiar with Rome Night. I like the Cerbera one. We'll definitely have to get away from the MR for a bit.
 
I gotta tell you Rome Night is great track, there are quite a few corners where you can do a lot more than you would expect, and I always like that about a track.
 
Good ideas, but let's use tracks we haven't raced before.

To recap the events:
Vector M12: High Speed Ring
Camaro SS '97: Laguna Seca
RX-7 LM (various): R-Clubman R5
ZZ II: Apricot Hill
Benz SLK: R-Deep Forest
Seattle Full: Denso Sard Supra
R390 '97: Tahiti Road
XJR15: Midfield Raceway

Presently, I'm at 1:03.596, way behind. This cat doesn't like to be pet the wrong way!

Thanks for the advice so far; I've got some work to do.
 
XJR15 :D Lapped the whole circuit by the 9th lap =\ Against a gt40 too...
 
I did it with a fully modded R34. I didn't even know about the Altezza when I won it. It's a great car.
 
Yeah...looks good too. I've just started playing gt2 again these past two weeks so I'm on a new file...A lot of my "babies" need to be rebuilt and rewon...Kind of disheartening. =\
 
Haven't won it yet :) It's been sitting on lap 38 for about 2hrs now :D the one on my old file was silver...
 
Altezza LM at Trial Mtn. Sounds nice to me...but one race at a time.

I'd like to be surprised, even if I'm not doing so hot.
 
I don't have the Altezza. I did the enduro where to win it over 5 times but never got it.
 
If you have a DexDrive, I'll send you a copy of the car. It might not work if you're using the PAL version of the game, though.
 
Awwww...crap...I just remembered...I got the Altezza LM from Rome 2hr...damnit.
 
I'm sorry but I don't have a Dexdrive. The Altezza LM though is available in the PAL version isn't it?

The Lancia Stratos...It's such a fun car and handles like a dream...great exhaust note too.
 
See? Everybody wins that one except me. I can't remember what I did win, but I wanted that one.
