What on earth is wrong with the looks? This car looks bad ass! Those rims do so much justice!! Make sure it has a mean sounding exhaust. Done! Drive.


Even better put a Lotus or a MG or even Alfa badge! on it and call it a day!
 
It does sound very mean. Will start it up later and record the noise.

I will take some more in depth photos soon to show what needs doing and what's what.
 
So... Today!

I took the time to do a three stage polish on the car to restore the paint and get it into a very nice shine. We sorted out a few small things. For example, the windows would fall out if done up too high, so we fixed that. The passenger side interior door handle was loose so we put that in properly too. I also bought a new and very typical teenager gearstick knob that says race sport on it so it should add 100 BHP.

I will add photos tomorrow, promise. :)
 
👍 Way too many fools with Corsa Bs, Pugs, Saxos that think they are bad a** cause they got some body kit and a big exhaust :yuck:.

Don't forget the stickers! They add 200bhp a piece! Monster stickers add 250bhp. :sly:
 
I don't want to play around with monster stickers on a Front wheel drive car, I may need a LSD if I do.

My sound system is decent, not going to bother with a big amp, but must admit, a park bench wing is tempting. :lol:

Anyway, I'll take some pictures tomorrow. The roof is really something special.

The top bit comes off and slips into the boot, and the rear window just rotates around into the car. Really neat.

My cousin has one. He is 19 and bought his Saxo for £500 and his insurance first time was over £2000.

So, in theory, he is going to write it off 4 times a year?

Lol i know it sucks i remember having a Rover 220 turbo and that crippled me insurance wise:ouch: Only good thing being older now i spose.:sick:
 
Done some more work today.

Just small things like cleaning the windscreen wiper fluid tank out and reinforcing the door panels.

More stuff, such as the fact some trim around the bonnet was loose has been sorted, just little things. I took some pictures and just need to get them uploaded.

How much did the car cost total (With VAT if it applies). A car with only 59K miles on it with that low of insurance looks like a great deal.
