For me, this seasonal event is a welcomed change, for me this is about grunts and growls and rortyness.

What are some favorites please? Should they be stock or change exhaust?

Not sure about how competitive it is within the race series, but I know the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 sounds awesome.

I agree it sound good, and it can easily win all of the races in this series with modifications added. I haven't tried it with the stock setup though.

The Shelby Cobra sound pretty good too, plus I had fun racing it around the new Eifel Kart track :D

I really love the Shelby GT350 (sounds really awesome from low to high revs...) and I used my Alfa Giulia GTA a lot too...

Both are equipped with stock exhausts as we know that all the upgraded ones generally screw up the sound...

I love the Giulia GTA so much that I got like 3 of them :)

Still need to get other Shelbys too!

I suspect it will be more overpowered than competitive, not least because it comes stock with racing hard tyres. I used it for all the FR races without any modifications, purely because it sounds and feels so good, and it was rather too quick for them.

Ya, that's what I was afraid of. Still, they do have a ballast you could add, power limiter, and sport hard tires you could downgrade too. Might be worth it for the auditory experience

In stock form, it is a cake walk.

TZ2 and the race modded Camaro sound like automotive Paradise.

But prepare to be way to fast for the "competition".

My fully modded E-type jag makes a wonderful noise i used it for Tokyo R 246

I like the TZ2 too, but I wondered what the dull-sounding low-pitched din was. Seemed to only happen while moving. Then I noticed the little opening in the driver-side window, maybe for ventilation. Nice touch.

Have you also noticed the TZ2 is pretty easy to get up on 2 wheels around tight turns?

I used a lightly modded Jag E-type for the Laguna race last night and it was too easy.
Going to try that again with worse tires or lower mods.

Also want to try the Toyota 2000GT that showed up last night in the OCD.

I noticed that sound too. And yes, she is easy to get up on two wheels. It is rather enjoyable.

I like the '61 E-type jaguar coupe all stock. I used to own a '68 XKE roadster and the in-game sound is darn near spot on (except when I had the top down). The performance isnt bad either, I didnt even add tires and its still decent. For nostalgia its not a bad choice. I also like my '69 Camaro Z/28 race car, the in-car sounds of that monster are awesome.

Interesting question... IMO, all these cars sound great...
Lambo Miura, Shelby 350R, Shelby Cobra, Ford Mark IV, 69 Camaro...
I rate the sound of the Sports Exhaust personally

Don't you mean sliding around so much that your wheel gets stuck in the one position afterwards?

Trying to maintain a controlled drift on a tight and narrow circuit with the Shelby Cobra was crazy, but I enjoyed it more than I though I would, plus I managed to win the race.

Gt350

Did it with a Mark IV, downtuned to 320hp, but stock, on sport hard tires. Was fun to keep it sideways. I must do them again with the old 1600 Lancer Rally car, 165hp and crazy sound!

Can't use the 1600, that's a '74. The TZ2 had that creepy din and I don't know what it was. I also used a Ginetta G4, which sounded ok.

Damn I forgot! Too bad, it would be a good challenge. I tried it with the TZ2, fully tuned but downtuned to 190hp and it was still too easy. Even on sports tires this car is fast around the corners.

Stock '69 'Vette sounds beautiful.

The Honda S800 race car's a fun race...don't tune it!
Sound is interesting, if not awesome...nice and revvy, but it's no '69 camaro :D

+1 for the corvette. Totally stock it was a lot of fun and easy for me to win but still some challenges to getting first sometimes. Only 4 gears and maxed out top speed on the long straights some of the comp. can catch up and try to pass.
I loved the sound of the vette and the look on replay. Hard to control the backend with comfort tires but a nice change of pace after speeding around in the F2007 cars!

I really like how the TZ2 sounded....and also my RM Camaro, though both I think were too fast...

Cobra 427 gets my vote. You could even hoon around and drift in it :D

But if it's too fast, then you can go for the Corvette Stingray. Slower than the Cobra to give a challenge; but it has a dangerous fish-tail behavior.

Also tried the STANDARD '69 Camaro, it handles pretty numb ==', not sure with the premium one though.

I tried to keep up with the GT2000 on stock comfort softs on Tokyo, I was noob and couldnt catch the last guy. But I believe it is doable, if driven with near perfection and skill. Understeers to every wall if driven too fast.

Golded each track in the Jaguar '66 racecar that I won from somewhere, and Alpha Sprint. This seasonal is clearly targeted for my father who has never played videogames, but has watched me years ago playing Turbo on the Colecovision. Good times.

The GT40 '69 sounds so amazing at low rpms. I put it in 5th gear the whole time just to hear the cool engine sound. Whatever else may be said about American cars, they tend to have a very pleasing sound to them. :)

(on a side note, the GT40 made the races way too easy. not sure if I had anything else that was really worth driving though.)

I used the 427 Cobra for them all, bone stock no oil change. It was way too easy, but a LOT of fun, especially on the Eiffel Kart track. That car has an overabundance of power that makes you respect it and pay attention every second.

I used Cobra too. It was really fun to drive even downtune to 250hp.
