Happy day all! The decal uploader is officially live http://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gtsport/news/00_1114068.html

I quickly uploaded several logos as a test, and they are now in the game. Unfortunately, they are all invisible... Any idea why?

I am a graduate student, so I plan on getting a free copy of adobe illustrator put on my school computer soon. As of this moment, I have been making SVGs with this website. https://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-svg. The quality does not appear to be the best on my computer, but because my decals are not visible I can't tell how off the quality is...

So I don't know if my decals are invisible because of the conversion website (they are visible on my computer). Unfortunately, this is all I can do until I get Illustrator.

Im also finally allowed to upload decals but... I get an error message when trying to upload them "server error".
Anyone else is getting the same?

Forgive me for being an idiot but how do I upload things? Do I have to download something on my computer?

How do you make an SVG without the white box? I've tried many different ways now :/

The quality does not appear to be the best, but until my decals become visible I can't comment on whether this method is viable.

The best tutorial for making SVGs is seen on this thread here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/user-decals-a-tutorial-on-how-to-make-svg.361630/

I, myself, will be following those guidelines. Until I can get my hands on Illustrator, that conversion website has been my best bet.

Thanks for that link it works great for what I need it for

Mind uploading your svgs to a google drive so I could take a look? Could be a resizing issue. I realised that on some I did.

Also make sure your logo/graphic is centered... I hate it when something is off center and when you copy it to the other side and mirror it, it’s completely off..... I see it happening a lot with logos that have multiple parts and people upload the same file, just with parts cut out causing the remaining parts being off center....

I can't make this work. I convert the file and then upload it with no problems. When I go to it in the livery it shows the that the decal is there but the actual graphic is invisible. Anyone have any clues to what I'm doing wrong?

Edit: I have used two different jpg to svg converters and get the same results.

I think the problem is with png,jpg to svg converters. They seem to be working horribly.

I agree. I think the problem is converters. I'm pretty sure I can get my hands on Adobe Illustrator because I am a student, so I'm fortunate for that. Hopefully others may find success in alternative methods

Inkscape works fine I hear.

Decal uploader is simple to use but having to click the box below everytime I upload a decal is a pain in the a rse.

You can't convert jpg or png to an svg.
Yes you can.

Use Adobe Photoshop CC.... HOWEVER, the svg feature in Photoshop CC is not compatible with what GT Sport uses, so you will have to edit the images to your liking in Photoshop and upload that image to a .PSD to .SVG converter.

After getting the file size under 15KB, I converted and uploaded the image, but all I saw was a black silhouettes of where my image used to be.

Really?

I've uploaded +100 and I have no issue. I usually upload 10 or 20 at a time but even when I upload a single decal I know I'm saving loads of time so I don't care about the check box. Also, they're probably required by law to have that anyway. Not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised.
