I just wanted to take a small moment to remind everyone that today is the 63rd anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Over 2,400 Americans lost their lives that day, launching the US into World War II. It is not necessary that you do or say anything in particular, just simply that you remember.

I don't think anyone will ever forget...I've always thought this day should be at least akin to Remembrance Day; you guys should get the day off, but stores should be closed too, so everyone would be forced to stay home and think.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of people don't really think about the whole point of such a holiday.

Totally agree with ev0 there..

I think our society is so blinded with materialistic items and 'Oh I must get this for _____' ism, that people no longer remember what the day off is for.

Some children say that Easter is a holiday, for collecting Chocolate. :odd:

This is just like Remembrance Day. I doubt that over 50% of the people in Canada OR US[or at least, in my school] know that Remembrance Day was started in WWI, not WWII.

Viper Zero, i had figured you would be the first to post a thread on this. 👍

Side note; Just as the page loaded the tornado alarms went off being that they test them every month on the first tuesday at 10am. :dopey:

What a horrible time that was.

May all those men and women continue to rest in peace.

everyone in my entire school was totally oblivious.

it's annoying.
