I love the Fiero. Not because its a good car. Just because its one of those odd cars that doesnt make it into many games (if any).
The only ones I see nowadays are beat to hell and driven by either middle -aged guys that bought it back in its prime and have since let the car go to crap, or young kids that spent 1000 bucks on it for thier first car.
Its in the same class to me as the Gremlin, El Camino, and Pinto. No matter how much work you put into it, its still a sketchy vehicle with a small fanbase. And I love it for that lol.
Take about my mindset! LOL, just kidding. Growing up poor, I've had first hand experience with many crappy and "odd" cars. My first car was a hand me down Fiat 124 station wagon. Next was a Gremlin, with a straight 6. Up next a Hornet with a small block V8. When I was like 9, we had a Pinto. Also when I was a kid we had a Mini Cooper and Austin America at one time. When I was a baby, a Corvair. One of the nicer cars my family had, a Fiat 128 sedan when I was in high school, my dad totaled in an accident. My parents bought most of these cars from a Lancia/Fiat dealer owned by an Englishman in Bradenton, Fl called Larkin Motors. Thankfully, I talked them out of the Pacer they were looking at and they got the Hornet instead. That thing could fly.
The Slick DLC Pack. 4 MS Pts. LOL
1970 Fiat 124 Station Wagon. Mine was the same color, but my sister put a Fiat racing stripe low on the sides. Mine also had the luggage rack. It originally was light blue. A truck backed into it, hence my mom had it painted yellow so no one would miss it. LOL
1969 Austin America. Ours was a deep red. It had a unique pneumatic suspension system. Dad told me he came out one morning to go to work and one side had a leak and the whole car was leaning to the side.
1974 AMC Gremlin. Mine was the same color. Had two problems. The doors were so big and heavy the hinges bent and couldn't completely close the door. The exhaust hung so low, it often hit the ground and got pulled from the header which made a gap where the donut gasket went so it need to be replaced often.
1976 Fiat 128 Sedan It was a nice riding small, European sedan. Ours was a dark green. Had cool dash with some wood trim, neat lighted switches, etc.. It had great reviews for its driveability and braking and was a key model with several technological breakthroughs.
1976 AMC Hornet Ours was a hatchback just like this one, and green. Had a fuel economy gauge on the dash board. You gave it gas and the needle went over to "Bad". lol But it was in the movie Live and Let Die so it was a "Bond" car and was in the really cool bridge jump.
1972 Ford Pinto I drove as a kid in the back seat from Sarasota to New Orleans and survived. Ours was the same color.
1961 Chevy Corvair, unsafe at any speed. My older sister said it was all different colors of spray paint, applied to areas of rust.
1967 Austin Mini Cooper Arguably the coolest car we owned when I was growing up. Ours was red. When the roof started to rust, my dad painted the roof white with spray paint.
