It is in fact a fox body Ford Mustang. -WAS- I should say.

I think I'm going to throw up. How can you take a good car and do that crap to it? That car's owner needs to be drug out in the street and shot. 👎

My definition of "Rice" is anything akin to that seen in 2 Fast 2 Furious, performane or not. I was fine installing a blue neon shift knob, $13 at a Wal*Mart, on my Excel and it looked good for a week or so. Then I took it out because really, does it enhance driving any? No.

My uncle's neighbor bought their red 1996 Dodge Neon base model and decided to 1) buy a $150 grey aftermaket spoiler that was about as high as the roof, and 2) painted the hubcaps black with a can of spraypaint. I kept telling my uncle that I hated the looks of the car, and lo and behold his neighbor removed the spoiler a week later. I don't even see the car anymore.

But does it look cool? I'd love to do some stuff in my interior that relaxes and soothes my eyes, blue neon is pretty. And its on the inside, not like people are gonna see u driving by with that blue knob and think "man does that guy think hes fast or something?" not everything cosmetic is always geared towards "making your car look fast", the only way a car can LOOK fast, is by whats under the hood.

And please do not take THAT and run with it, i dont wanna see a ****ing fake engine under there.

Don't worry; out of irony the transmission blew a few months ago trying to go to Wal*Mart . I don't think I'll be drag racing Geo Metros anytime soon. ;) Good thing it did blow; we found a great deal on a 99' Camry LE a month later. Best car I've driven.

I quite like some ricers. Sure most of them are just stupid, but if its done well some can look very good. Most of the ones I see are Mitsu Mirages and Honda Civics which is a much better car to start a ricer with than one of those tall narrow modern kei class cars.
When I lived in the city I often saw a riced up classic Mini. I dunno if I like it, but it had the GT front on it so at least it wasnt a proper looking Mini to start with.
I wouldnt mind ricing up my car, but theres no way in hell you can make a 81 Toyota Corona look good.

Even the Camaro and Challenger were, Because Who in their right mind would wreck a real 1969 Yenko YSC 427 Camaro or blow the door off a 1970 Hemi Challenger?

That still frightens me that they did that to those beautiful muscle cars. :nervous:

My feelings on this are mixed. I don't hate ricers by any extent, everyone has a hobby. I don't see my arse over it if I get overtaken at high speed by a hatchback with a big exhaust, because I'm far worse when I'm on my bike.

I've even done a few things to my bike, for good reason though... I work for a bike manufacturer, and we get cheap bikes as employees, so when I go into the car park I'm not kidding when I say I've struggled to find mine sometimes. So I've resprayed it myself, and polished the wheels, which took so so so so long I recommend noone ever tries it when armed only with wet and dry paper and a tube of Autosol. It's a replica of a 1978 Isle of Man TT winning bike. Performance wise I've put the factory race pipe on, a K+N and had the ECM reprogrammed to suit.

I did all this not to please other people, but to please me. That is why I think these guys do their mods. When I ride it I feel good, 'I worked to make this my own, and yours all look the same.' is the general sentiment.

The whole thing from new has cost me less than £3500 and I love it. I get to sixty in just over 3 and a standing quarter in about 11-11.5. It's all I'll ever need. Maybe...

That mustang was gopping though...
