Together with the assembling of my Simcase, I made a simple mod for the DFGT.
Because I always raced with automatic-gear boxes, I thought it would be the right time to pick-up manual shifting. From the DIY-shop I bought 2 putty-knifes and breaking the grips from the metal plates I wanted to use.
X 2 !
Here the grip was already wrecked and I also fold up the metal, as far you can go. Then the metal will break again and now I had 2 paddles for the shifters.
Also from the DIY-shop, I bought 4 T-shape brackets and rounded the edges for a nice grip while shifting. And it looks better too.
x 2
With double sided tape I put 2 brackets at each paddle :
With black technical tape (very stretchy and strong) I tightened the brackets to the paddles and the double sided tape, that wouldn't fall apart that easily
And with the strong double sides tape behind the wheel, it will look like this
Not tested yet, So not sure if it will work... 💡
