Hi All,

I have the DFGT, brilliant wheel, i love it except from one small thing, the Forcefeedback motor is very noisy.

Does anyone have any genius ideas on how to make it a bit more quieter or is it a case of "this is how it is, your stuck with the noise" kinda thing?

It's not the motor that makes such a racket, but the straight cut gears. It's the same with the G25.
The G27 has helical cut gears, but even that isn't completely silent.

If you want a silent wheel you'll need to go for a belt driven wheel or direct driven wheel (Leo Bodnar wheel (basically a stepper motor with a steering wheel attached to it directly)).
So good consumer choices would be a Porsche wheel from Fanatec or a T500 from Thrustmaster.

So yeah, you're pretty much stuck with that unfortunately. At least I haven't heard about or seen a mod that would silence the ol' gal. ;)
 
My G25 is quieter than most, but that's mainly because I'm very smoooth with it, but no matter how you use it, you'll never completely silence it.
