Hello everybody,
Sorry if this isn't really GT related but my Driving Force GT may have an issue but I'm not sure, while playing GT I noticed the brakes were being tapped on their own very slightly for less than a second when I'm not touching them. I don't think they're broken but it seems like they are, has anybody else had this issue?

Thanks

(Thanks to who moved my thread this should suit my question more)

It's a usual occurrence in DFGT; the solution would be putting a stress ball or two in brake pedal. It makes the pedal heavier, but you'll get used to it in no time :)

Would that really fix my issue? Even when I've just got one foot only on the gas the brakes tap automatically as if I'm doing it whe I'm not. Anyways I'll give it a shot I don't know if it'll work since this seems like a different issue but thanks :)

@Thomas2012:

1. I saw this problem reported by Logitech wheel users, be it a DFEX, DFGT or G25/27;
2. I had the problem in my DFEX; I have a DFGT now and it is OK, no problem until now;
3. I think the issue is a bad contact or something that prevents the brake to stay in position zero when not used, and the problem is located somewhere (:() in the spring that commands the eletric contact of the potentiometer. I was able to eliminate that during some good weeks. However it can appear again. What to do:

Just dimount the pedals module, keep good record of how it is, detach the spring (only the brake, of course), clean all dust and garbage (dont remove the grass oil) put everything in place again, mount again and thats it.

Good luck! That is very enoying:ouch:

EDIT; Just saw prior response: the ball can be a solution as it forces the pedal to zero when not used 👍

Like what @Serialf said, it has something to do with the springs of the brake pedal. What he said was on-point: the ball forces the spring to go back to zero :)

It's a dirty potentiometer. Dealt with it a couple times already. Springs don't really have anything to do with it, or otherwise if after I cleaned things it would still do it. I get it on the brake and gas pedal. Clean everything and it's fine, for a while. For me, it's sock lint, as I seem to wear holes in my socks and it's gets down in there.

It could be "worn spring" that doesn't return pedal fully back, but to my experience (I get this problem return every few months :)) it is dust in potentiometer, so you get so called spiking.
As coryclifford and drandiiski pointed out, open pedal base (there is many guides on YT) and clean 2 potentiometers inside with pressured air ...

Alright thank you all, I've given my pedal set a good blast of air but it's still occuring so it may need a proper clean to fix the issue unless it's much worse. I have some spare sponges that may work if cut into the right shape than placed under the pedal does anybody know the right size to cut it to? And again thank you to everyone who helped me!

I've cut my sponge into a relatively good shape and it works but now my break issue has returned and it's even worse... Maybe another blast of air to clean out the dust?
