Lol, of course you have nothing to say.
Also A+ so not sure what the point of posting rank was ... Ignored 🤡
Oh, you want me to speak Mr....36 posts ok
First off, I'm not your "bud" - I don't know what it means where you come from, but up here it's an
extremely offensive term. Tone means everything, and text does not convey tone.
, its been talked about multiple times by two of the best controller users on the game, that it's much harder to be competitive on controller as the down force increases, probably due to the way the steering works on controller.
Let's take a look at your original comment
The ridiculously fast GR2 & better cars always seem to suck on controller, as far as actually being competitive with them.
I will repeat, and I am sure much of this community will concur (that means agree with me) that "suck" does not describe the experience of the faster cars.
As noted, I'm A+. You are allegedly A+...so, looks like the competitive issue is relative. 1% of this game's players are A+
Seems pretty competitive to me.
Whether or not they can be fun is besides the point.
Sure, I love playing games that are not fun...great use of my time. I'm curious, what did you imply by saying they suck? Maybe I misunderstood.
Go get a group of A+ together in a custom lobby with wheels & controllers. Have them all compete in GT3, they'll probably be somewhat close, I suspect wheels having a slight advantage.
Now go do the same thing with GR1 & I guarantee the gap between wheel users & controllers increases.
As if the daily races isn't already exactly this? There is a MASSIVE GULF (that means a big space) between one input having an advantage over the other, and one being competitive while the other is not. Maybe you don't understand the English language. I hear y'all call it American... which in itself is strange since Spanish is the most spoken language in the Americas.
A DLC focused on drip fed cars that only really benefit one piece of hardware when it comes to competitiveness isn't exactly great.
There you go again.
Again, thats from two of the best controller users, from their own mouths when talking about limitations of controller & how it's steering is implemented (I can't remember the specifics, but something about steering having a maximum turning angle that progresses in increments through a corner, as opposed to the smooth steering of a wheel)
Either way anyone that uses both devices knows exactly what it is, hairpins are where you notice it the most.
Maybe you should do a better job of paying attention. Are there differences? Yes. Is the steering implemented with a smoothing algorithm that prevents the same degree of precision that a wheel can provide? Yes.
Is that stopping anyone from being competitive? Relative. In a lobby full of A+ drivers, I hold my own with a controller. Am I going to win some tournament against the best of the best? Probably not, but I wouldn't win it with a wheel either.
And NONE of that negates the addition of these cars ESPECIALLY when this community has been asking for this kind of update for year.
But..36 posts in...you wouldn't know that.
