Hello!

I recently setup my DFGT to allow me to play the rFactor demo. I've installed the Logitech Profiler, and have some loose settings dialed in there. I've also tried adjusting the i- game settings, but I just can't get it right. It's hard to describe what it feels like, but the wheel just isn't right and the brakes seem to be constantly locking, even with the ABS turned on. I'm not sure whether I just need some better settings (please suggest them if you have any) or whether there's something wrong with how it's set up!

Thanks guys - I appreciate I might not have helped you with this description! ;)

Other than button mapping, I don't think I changed anything in the rfactor wheel settings, nor did I change anything in the profiler. Do a search online for 'rfactor real feel plugin.' Whether it will sort your issues, only you will know. But in my experience it defintely made the steering feel more what I would call 'real life' I only had a about 2 weeks with rfactor whilst waiting for GT6 so i'm no pro. I do remember the brakes being ultra sensitive though. Maybe it because the pedals for the dfgt are rubbish.

Most cars in rFactor are setup to require no more than 50-60% brake for maximal braking, any further and you will lock up. However, you can adjust deadzone and brake sensitivity if you like so that the pedal is not linear in game.

The best thing is to teach yourself not to just slam the brake. Ideally you should push it to about 70-80% briefly from high speed then gradually release the pedal as you slow down, with the majority or braking done using 50-60% pedal. Smoothly release the pedal as you start turning in. This technique is also good for no-ABS in GT5/6.
