DFGT springs

I took my dfgt apart to clean it yesterday, typical brake problem and noticed something that seemed odd to me. One pedal had both a silver and a black spring, one on each side of the shaft (one for resistance and one for return)? The other pedal had only the silver spring, is this normal or am I missing a part?

Pretty sure this is normal, the 2 springs are on the brake pedal to give it more resistance.

That is correct if you what this video you can see where they go. You can also mod while you have it open if you want.

Thanks guys, I already stiffened the brake while I had it open, just seemed odd to me that there was one spring on one pedal and two on the other.

accelerator does not need two spring
a single spring is enuff

where as the dual spring in the brake is design to emulate actual brake in a car
where there will some free play before real resistance from the contact of brake pad to the disk
how close is it to emulate the real thing?
not close at all (The planet, YES!!! Planet Pluto would be closer)
