he mates,have a problem here...

lately when driving in gt5p the folowing happens...:
when i brake into a corner and release the gas pedal it doesnt "go off" 100%...i meen the pedal itself is fine ,but when i look on the screen(throttle meter) i can see that there is still 10% of throttle on....
it will stay on untill i put full throttle and than it dissapeares for a while again...

this is ruining my precious available time(wich is very little!!)i have to do tt championships because it will destroy the lap i am doing at that moment!!!especially in fast corners it will produce understeer when you dont want it!!!

now i know there where some simular problems with the older dfp wheel, but read somewhere that the new dfgt wheel had these problems solved....

does anybody know an easy fix for this??
maybe just open up the pedal box and clean everything??

any help or suggestions will be much appreciated guys...

Before you open it up try your wheel on a PC to see if your gas goes to 0-100% OK. I've heard some people having similar problems with other wheels. I've seen that if you Waste a lap by going full gas and full brake it might cure this. The problem I've read was people's brakes still being on.

I have a newer DFGT & Havent had the problem your having. I have had problems with the brake pedal though.

did this and it goes 0-100% fine....the problem is that sometimes when after being on the gas for a straight and than get off the gas completely,it will stuck on 10% untill i hit full gas again ,than it dissapeares for about 3 or 4 corners and comes back again....:indiff:

by "waste a lap full gas and brake" you meen realy to drive a lap around a track like this??...just checking...

What I mean by wasting a lap is to drive "slow around the track for 1 lap" going full gas then full brake to see if you can cure the problem. If you can get the gas to be at the 10% your talking about use your foot to see if you can pull the pedal back. (If you can then you might want to take the back off and use some good quality "lube" on it) Just don't use cheap grease use something like "white Lithium Grease".
Also what I was trying to get you to do was basically cycle both pedals from 0-100%.

well opened up the pedalbox and cleaned all dust away and checked all connections...all seems fine there, nothing is loose...
the problem now only occurs every 10 laps or so for a few seconds, but now it changes between the gas and brake pedals...!!!

the thing i noticed though is that when you push down the gas pedal only 0,5 mm its already "on"....really,if i would blow at it it gives a reaction "on screen"....

wierd!!

any other suggestions guys??...

I had this problem on the brake pedal of a brand new DFGT. I took it apart and had to file down the post the brake potentiometer was screwed to. This allowed the pot to always return to zero when the pedal was released. The gear mesh between the pedal and pot isn't very tight and shortening the post (very slightly) took up the lash which made the pot respond properly.
