alright, so ive had my wheel for a while now, just used it for the first time today in GT5. its got a STUPID amount of feedback. and doesnt change AT ALL between 1, and 10. like, none. at all.

i use this wheel for other car games, and its noticeably different when changing the feedback in other games.

it makes cars un driveable in GT5. is this typical of the DF GT wheel? or is my unit defective? i havent used it in about 4 months. havent tested it on the other games yet since, but is this normal for GT5? if so, i must say, pretty ****** simulation game if when using a wheel it makes cars undriveable.

No it's not typical, maybe yours is defective. I can feel the difference in mine by changing the level by 1 and the difference between 1 and 10 is night and day.

Iv got a dfgt for over 1 year i doesn't have that if i put my ffb at 10 you feel that it is stronger

don't be a pussy, you have to manhandle it a bit...force the wheel past the points when it feels like it wants to fight your input, you'll get used to it.

My DFGT has a very noticeable difference between feedback levels. It is probably your wheel or your perception of the feedback that is off.

yeah, not my perception lol. had my brothers try it, notice zero difference as well.
will try it with another game later today to see if its the same

It sounds like your wheel is broken, take it back to the store and get a replacement.

Trying it with a different game wont make a difference since the FFB is meant to be noticeably different when you change the levels. Could be that your motors are stuck on the highest setting.

Just take it back to where you got it and explain the situation, they're bound to replace it

Also - please use the Edit function rather than double posting :)

Just passing some advice on that I recieved from a mod myself. Its better that you just use the report button rather than pretending to be a mod yourself. Some people take offense to being told what to do by regular members. It is not our job to enforce the rules here, let the mods do it. Just some friendly advice for you.

If this is true, wouldn't it be a mod's job to tell him it's a mod's job, and a mod's job to tell him to use the report button instead?...kind of a conundrum isn't it?:ouch:...lol..:sly:

Ah they don't care about us trying to help them by warning them or offering advice. It sometimes saves the mods time. But when we do threatening with infractions that's what they don't like.

Anyway
Did the guy who was having this issue ever send in his wheel? It is clearly directive

Ignore people like this, he even assumed that you were saying it was too strong and criticised you on that basis.

As far as I'm concerned it's quite easy to consider a really low level of FF stupid.

You can thank one of the updates for that. One of the recent ones made it REALLY strong. I remembering it being mentioned in one of the udpate write ups. You would have loved it before that. Being able to have really light feedback was one of the reasons I preferred the DFGT over the PRO (it had always seemed to crazy). Now it's pretty much full on no matter what the setting just like the PRO was. It's a bit different from 1-10 but not a big difference like it used to be. I find it really dissappointing but I've adapted to it.
