DFP wont steer and pedals wont work

This was my first DFP I bought used and I have found by reading the posts at the Lgitech forum that its a common problem. Has anyone here found a fix for this problem or is it tjust doomed as a parts wheel? I bought Another since so its not inperative but why not have a BACK UP IF i CAN FIX IT???Also does anyone knowe I can find the instructions online?> It would be nice to read the original paperwork.

Does the wheel "wake up" and self-calibrate when it is plugged in?

Yes it does. All the other buttons work as well.

no good answers here, but if it's DOA & you don't want it, I would be interested in it as a 'parts' wheel set. good luck, though.

Oh I'll go ahead and keep hold of it myself for the same reason. If nothing else I have parts in case something shouldbreako0n the one I just bought. I got a refurbished one off ebay. Who knows...maybe someday someone will come up with a fix for this problem. Like I said before, after checking at the Logitech forum its a common failure.

totally understand keeping parts. I've (literally) hacked apart two DFPs for my insert-to-arcade-cabinet project & so far I'm pleased, but some experimental hardware wouldn't be bad to have. cheers.
