Sorry to hear your having some rough times with work and what not. (alta)

As for my progress, yesterday, I managed to find out that with the right tires, setup, and skills :D I can get first place in the first lap and hold it the entire race after that. Most cars pit around the 12-15 lap mark, and it seems my t3's are lasting till about 9 laps before I really want to pit in.

Today when I get the chance to race, Im gonna put in a 6th lap pit... although it will leave me in the last place spot, I think Ive got a chance at taking the lead back in a few laps and then holding onto it while and before everyone else pits.

Should make for one mean whippin if it works right, but I will never know till I try. So until then...

good luck to all.

thnks for the warm lap UB57 I took a stab at this for the first time tonight and got smoked bad .I think I'm going to see what I can do by myself before I look at an repays for lines or use any posted setting just to see what I can do :)
p.s. Boom I don't see myself in the weekly this week sorry for missing it

Well after watching Pokealong's fast lap, I have a felling we're going to get schooled in the fine art racing.

Diablo Series Announcement:
:D Hiya Guys, Are We Still Havin' FUN???
I will be away from home thru Thursday. My daughter needs help moving from one apartment to another so I'll be in Austin (200 Miles South) for a few. She assured me today her cable internet has been installed so administering the race should be seamless. As I cannot take my new GT seat with me I'll have to post a time early. Will try to stay up late Wednesday Nite & get the results posted ASAP.
Watch out for GODZILLA !!! (I think he drives a JGTC Supra  )...UB57
:D
BTW: Spent the time I should have used on Race #2 today finalizing Race #3. Have a real "Treat" :odd: in store I'm sure you'll all like!

Edit: "Austin Connection" complete. Good to see you guys still "Goin' at it." Will check in as often as possible. Have Fun...UB57

Yeah, I've already come to the conclusion that Pokie is gonna run away with this one. That's OK though, I'm having a lot of fun with this! 👍

Anyway, I've been running some laps and my average lap is around high 1'32 and low 1'33 with a margin of victory in the area of +23

I dunno what to say, but I'm glad you guys are still enjoying yourselves!:)

Since the replay I posted, I've changed the settings a lil, and now have a few laps under 1'30. Let me know if anyone would like a replay. The settings for that run were a lil rough for the race, ate the front tires much faster than the rears, so here are the settings I'm racing with:

7.0/16.0
80/80
7/6
10/5
1.9/1.0
0.0/0.0
3/3
20/21
20/20/10
AS 21
2.650/1.840/1.430/1.170/1.000/0.865//4.000
100/112
0/1

I just finished a slightly conservative race to get one saved. I was able to stretch the tires til the end of the 10th lap, still came out in first place over the Denso. He finished the race 49.469 seconds behind me:eek:

Well I guess that settles it... pokelong is the champ, we are all racing for second. :D

Good job, I might take a look at that replay too, but at the moment, Im just working on getting a clean race in.

Jeeze Rick! You could of at least pretended that the rest of us had a chance.;) I can't run manual fast enough at this track. Oh well. Second sounds good to me.

Indeed. (sorry for the limited content of post.)

Geez, what a Ghost Town!! :(

I think you guys will be happy to know that I just received a new wheel, and I'm commited to learning it before GT4 comes out. Yup, hanging up the DS. ATM I am about 4 seconds per lap slower, IF I can get a clean one in! It's gonna be a long, slow process.

Which wheel did you buy? The only reason your slow with your new wheel is you are Too fast with the D-Pad.:p  ;) :) I'm going to do more runs today but with you running sub 1:30 laps why would you be interested.
huh.gif
Just wondering...

:D Shhhhh!!!! Don't wake up CFM! It was great finishing 4th against such super racers last week. W/GoKents & IDAFC21 putting forth full efforts I'm ALREADY expecting to drop two more places!   ...UB57
:D

BTW: Hey "Pokie", hope that new wheel's a "MOMO" 👍

I got the MOMO FFB as an early Bday gift from my kids! Who sez dropping hints doesn't work ;)

Why?? I think the benefits would be two-fold. One being that I'm getting bored playing the game with the DS, taken it about as far as I can. And B, I wanna try to be faster!!

Now I really hafta get a good solid mount for this thing, the TV tray just ain't cuttin' it!

**Edit** I'm no where near sub 1'30 in the race 'Mich **/Edit**

Well, I only have 1 more race for TORC series so I should be able to do the last few races here. The reason I did the WRS this week is because I spent less than 2 hours on it. By the way, how many races are left after this one? And is the last one an enduro?

BTW - UB that seat is totally kick ass. I'm tempted to fly down to Texas and try it out. You could whip up on me since I've never used a wheel before:lol:

Make sure you wear your helmet while you are racing:D

   Bring a "Blindfold" with you too, so I'll have 1/2 a Chance!   ...UB57 :D

Nice rig UBeeee! I had a similar design in mind using Unistrut and an old fold down boat seat, but space is too limited in "my" room for such an ornament.

ATM I am thinking to buy a corner desk top with an office chair to take the place of (my current) rocker/recliner and side table. Would actually take up less floor space and be more versatile. Now if I could just think of some company in this town that makes that sort of thing ;)

   Yeh, probably NO "Fab Shops" or "Car Nuts" in a spot without any automotive history like your Home Base!   ..UB57 :D

👍 You Bet! A small "MIG" unit would be more than enough. I only used the "TIG" cause it's always available. Total cost for the tubing was about $12.00...UB57

Kool Seat hucker696 : 👍
:D Much more elegant than mine. As the only two things I can produce from wood are sawdust & splinters, I MUST work w/metal. Anxious to see it when it's all finished, (Mine as well!)...UB57
