Did anyone get Dirt 3 with AMD promo?

I got a steam key with my purchase of an XFX 6950. My problem is that steam does not run the game. I press start and nothing happens. I have tried everything on the internet. When I managed to make it start somehow, Games for Windows Live tells me I have to install Windows Live Sign in Assistant..and when I try to install Windows Live Sign in Assistant, it tells a newer version is already installed. But Games for Windows Live tells me to download and install Windows Live Sign in Assistant WTF? So there are three things making Dirt 3 not work...there is Windows Live Sign in Assistant, and Games for Windows Live, then Steam. This is outrageous...I can't even play a legitimate game because I have to make three programs work with each other. End rant. Also, when you buy Dirt 3 for PC, is it steam only, or is it Games for Windows Live? Can people on steam play with people on Games for Windows Live?

I got my copy of Dirt the same way. I cant remember exactly what I had to do but I do remember encountering some problems with trying to launch it. I think I had to copy a CD key from somewhere, and then press shift+tab to put it in somewhere. Dont know how helpful this will be however. Good luck. Steam is the reason I dont play many PC games.

I got the game in 2011, and now it's March and I still can't play. Do you know if there is only a steam version or is there also a Games for Windows Live version? If so, can people on each play with each other?
