As you all know, race engines don't last more than a couple of hundred kms.

I was wondering if it was possible to kill an engine with extensive clocking... So far I couldn't kill the engine of my F001 which clocked well over 7000 kms. (but the power drooped to some 700 hps) I wonder if it is ever possible that the engine gives up...

I could swear in one of the PS2 ads, before gt3 was released here, it showed game footage of an engine blowing. Bunch of smoke out the back. Dunno though.

Skiddo ran several thousand miles in a C5R to see if he could get the bhp to fall below the limit for a race series we are in, but sadly not, the C5R with an NA tune never got below 704bhp.

Ok, so every knows about the Escudo Wheelie trick, and if you don't just do a search for Wheelie Trick so you'll know what I'm talking about.... Anyhow, I broke out of the Seattle track with my Escudo, setup for the wheelie trick, and being out of the track there were no boundries. With no boundries, I was able to get my Escudo over 2.6 Billion miles/hour. At that speed, that's 43,333,333 miles per minute which is equal to 722,222.21 miles per second.

At those speeds, before the PS2 locked up, I had ran a 12 sec. stretch which would be 8.67 million miles on my Escudo's engine without it blowing up. I might note that the oil light came on, almost immediately.

So to answer your question, I would have to say no...

Ha ha ha ... that's awesome. I've never seen a PS2 lockup, but my friend's XBox craps out a lot. Of course, he was standing in line to get one of the first ones ... you know the one I'm talking about ...

Oh yes, of course! I guess with their update DVD-Rom, they already have the XBox 9th Edition out already with a new COS (Console Operating System) that is more stable than their prior releases, and is said to be superier in every way.... The new COS will only cost a mear $129.99 retail, but Microsoft guarantees that it's far better than prior COS's installed in the XBox....

So run out and buy your upgrade!!!

this entire post was a load of crap, but was intended to reflect MS's historical schemes for making money and controlling the worlds spending habbits

That's almost 4 (3.88) times the speed of light. How did the frame rate hold up? ;) :D

Like I said, it locked up on me! :D

Yep, screen just freezes.... Like somebody pauses the game, with no response from the controls...

I would've loved to have an engine blow itself apart or thrust a pushrod thru the oilpan due to excessive revs (too early downshift)
It would've been cool to pay for your mistakes instead of simply running no matter what the heck you do...

How'd you do this?

At the starting line turn around and keep on the right wall. There is a small gap at the end where the wall and side of the road meet. Back up to the end of the straightaway and head towards it while hauling a55! It might take a couple tries but soon enough you will break through the barrier. :)

My friend from years gone by claims to have gotten the wheelie trick, turned around, and come back into the track. He claims his escudo has a couple hundred million miles on it, and it's saved.

Being that I am in california, I cant confirm or deny, but I dont see why its not possible.
