I doubt that'll do much for VW's image right nowGee. I wonder why it became all electric.....
cough*diesel*cough sorry.
Plus, it looked like a Passat. The Phaeton won't make it here in the US because your typical American that doesn't care about cars won't buy it if they're looking for a luxury car because it's not an Audi. It doesn't have a stupid badge or brand name that I see so many people care about.
Optima looks way better.Looks like a stretched Passat, honestly. Actually, it looks very similar to the Kia Optima.

Some Audis have great stealth. It's not really the showiness of it, it's the actual badge. Though I admit some Fords really are nice, makes me wonder the point of Lincoln.I think the issue is that most people who want "stealth luxury" in the US tend to go for trucks and SUVs lately. I can buy an F150 that will both heat and cool my butt while riding comfortably with a full bed and a trailer in tow. And the only people that know will be the people who see the Limited badge. And if you want to carry more people an Explorer or Expedition can carry you, 5 other people, and all of your stuff around in the same luxury.
I just don't think there's much demand for something luxurious that doesn't make people look at you, because that market is kind of cornered in the States.
"stealth luxury"...F150...
Stealth isn't a word traditionally associated with F150s, surely?![]()
What kind of thread title is this?
