Did we really need another Ferrari Seasonal?

I really think we needed this one and I waited for this. The original La Festa Cavallino event never justified all the premium Ferrari's they included. And you cannot compare this to the Ferrari Formula Challenge just because it's the same car make.

Did we really need another moaning?

I love these seasonals. Ferraris are a prestigious mark, so it does make sense they will get a little more coverage. And the beauty is that you can still do the british lightweights, Honda Civics, or if you're a badass, the Expert races.

One thing GT5 got right was these seasonals. Plenty of variety. You and I are different and will like different things, but we're always going to find something that appeals to us here.

And Nielson is right. The A Spec Ferrari coverage wasn't enough. We have so many Ferraris in this game. GT fans have been waiting many years for them. And F1 is interesting but not the same. I do wish there were a few more F1 teams represented.

This is the first true Ferrari seasonal if I'm not mistaken...so...yes, we did need "another" one. We had an F1 seasonal which just happened to be only Ferraris because that's all GT5 has as far as F1 offerings, but that's not what this is.

If they're not the same (or even close) to one another, I don't know how you're able to logically compare the two events.

I finally bought my first Big-Three. I got the Jag. The Ford is so formidable that my David-Instinct kicked-in. I want the Stallion next, but I don't wanna challenge that Buffalo without a 5.0.
(The Mark IV is the Buffalo:nervous:)

I'm tuning an Italia(dealer) and an Enzo(prize), and then maybe the MagnumPI, or the F40, but I'm looking forward to the F50.
So-far the
Magnum PI drove a 308GTB, although I'll grant it looked similar to the 512BB in the game. Apologies to Any other tv geeks who may have already pointed this out.

Just noticed that you can cut corners at la sarthe and it won't give ANY penalties???? A bit sad I think but hey, EASY MONEY :D LOL

Love the seasonals!!! Keep em comming!

Agreed; de la Sarthe is a money maker - just earned enough to buy guess what the Ferrari P4 Race Car haha; and yes, you can cut the last corners, but for grinding that's ok given that you - even if it is easy money - spent a fair amount of time on the track ...

A "wet" seasonal would be nice to have, too.

I didn't bother with the F1 car race since I couldn't keep them under control. Heck, I still haven't done the pre-endurance race F1 version. I'm not good with those damn things.

But I like the regular Ferrari challenge, the Scud is pretty much my favorite factory car in the game to drive.

Yep. In fact neither the 308 nor the F50 are actually in the game, so they'll be tough to tune. ;)

As far as I know, A-spec events never had penalties.

Problems with getting f1 licences i guess?
Btw ferari has his "own" game too, yet PD managed to include ferari non the less so...,?
Greetings stano666.

I assume it's a licensing issue. Though you'd think F1 would love to be compared to any other motorsport.

When you compare what's involved with driving an F1 car to any other car, you really appreciate what it is. It's so much faster.

But F1 likes money quite a lot, so that's usually why things don't work out for it that seem obvious to me.

I am happy with any new, free content for the game. Some seasonals don't interest me at all, like the muscle car challenge or trucks, but I just skip those. No matter what they put out, they cannot please everyone ... let's just hope the free content and additional gameplay keeps coming.

You're missing out on something awsome man, believe me. Granted, those things are a handful, and driving the Nurburgring GP without aids in the F2007 is hell (I can't do it 10 laps straight). But once you get the hang of it, it's great. You're going as fast as a car can go in these corners, and you feel like you're in perfect control. X1 doesn't count here.
Try and persevere, the driving sensation makes up for the effort.

I'm enjoying winning this event and buying all the Ferraris to make them into winners. I don't know about the 512 unless you egregiously shortcut, but every single other car in Ferrari's stock can do it.

So far, the Scud is my favorite, the Enzo my fastest.

BTW, if F1 weren't so hard, the game would lose much of its value to folks who want a lasting challenge.

Love the event! The best chance I've had to drive my 599 since the beginning of the game. It's so much fun I almost feel bad getting paid half a mil every time. Almost. ;)

I had given away my max tuned 599 to a friend a month ago so I had to buy and mod another one. Took me 3 3/4 minutes to make the money back.

Seeing as how I just got a Fanatec wheel, I think that the Ferrari seasonal is awesome! I've had fun playing with three different Ferrari's on this and it's a blast. I would much rather have this than some seasonal with crap cars or requirements.

They had penalties in Prologue; at least at a certain level. In fact, I think it's a shame that they have not kept a penalty system in A-Spec. I know people who have not learned to clean race a course due to the absence of penalties in A-Spec. It goes without saying that they have failed to bronze or silver certain licenses ;) and this is mainly the reason I set penalties to high when racing against them online ^^

Did we really need another Ferrari Seasonal? WHY NOT!, I love Ferraris, F40, 599, F430, 458, Enzo....

We need a Pagani seasonal event.

We just had a Ferrari seasonal a month or so ago, why another so soon? Granted that one was for the F1 cars but with so many different manufacturers in the game why the need to repeat so soon?
How about an all Corvette challenge, or all v-dub, all pre 1970 japanese cars, there are so many ways they could have gone to change things up and make it interesting. Do they not read forums and get ideas of what the gamers want. I am happy to be getting regular updates now but I just cant get excited over another Ferrari seasonal.

Well sadly for you seems like Ferrari is a famous supercar producer, and the F1 event wasn't clearly enough for all the street legal Ferraris fans around the world, I'm really enjoying these events so don't state personal opinions as a fact. And don't forget if you want an all Corvette challenge so bad you can always do one make races. If you need money just go to La Sarthe, 1 lap with the Enzo 504.000 cr.

F1 currently has an agreement to let Codemasters make the F1 games, so they can't get a full F1 license. They got the Ferrari F1 by having Ferrari agree for the car to be in-game; the FIA probably wasn't involved with that at all.

Why there aren't more F1 cars in the game I can't say. I'd expect to have atleast seen the RB6, with Red Bull having the X2010 in the game...

Yes, we did need another Ferrari Seasonal Event.

No, there's one in A-spec, + we already have lots of Supercar seasonals...
I'd rather see a LM or Rally series, y'know something we don't have a lot of already.
That's how I feel about it, but at the same time, it's great to see so many people on here loving the ferarri events too.
