that astra is dang hot looking. they came that way from the factory, really?

Yup, it's a factory model, officially released. However (if I remember correctly) in Fifth Gear (another UK weekly car show) the Ford Focus ST still out performs this crazy Astra.
In my opinion, the only thing cool about this Astra is the Nüburgring sticker on the back of the car... but I bet you can get that decal effect for almost nothing on ebay...

Okay, as promised in my last post, here are the really special stuff:

First up:

2008 Le Mans Aston Martin DBR9 Gulf Oil Livery

Now, if you think that is rare. The next one is (I strongly believe, so please tell me if I'm wrong) the absolute only one on the face of our planet:

2006 Prodrive P2
3.8 seconds to 100km from stand still, rally type drivetrain, allowing torque to be delivered to individual wheels resulting no if at all understeering... those who watched this thing on Top Gear will know what I'm talking about. This thing made Jeremy sick!

These were taken by a friend, who had access to the Prodrive Fen End test track facility (development and testing ground for their racing and tuning cars) so all credits to him.

P.S. Due to the low light of the environment and the low resolution of the original photos, I've tweaked them quite a bit to get the colours out. So I'm sorry if they are a bit too saturated for you.

OMG P2!!!!!!!

Atlanta Murcielago owners apparently have zero taste in rims.

I don't even know why anyone would want to change the rims in the first place. The Hermeras & the Hercules are made for this design for a reason. But, if you must buy aftermarkets, at least buy something more tasteful like a nice set of HRE 890Rs or Competitions.

I actually think Akon's are somewhat decent and find the others pretty hideous. But in either case the stock rims are way...way better.

Unfortunately, BBS doesn't do fitments for Lamborghini. They barely have any for Porsche either, apparently.

That seems a bit odd that BBS would not do fitments for Lamborghini and only having a few for Porsche seems just as odd. :odd: Wierd!

My guess is that BBS isn't really in touch with the exotic crowd.

I could slightly understand the exotic crowd. But Porsche? That is a BBS home market manufacturer.

Also, the wheels on the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, are those not BBSs?

When you show enough money to their face, they do.

Well I saw plenty of good cars today, I just didn't get photos of any! The list included a V8 Vantage convertible, Japanese-spec Civic Type R sedan... actually, I can't remember any others at the moment. I saw the whole Vauxhall VXR range (including the VXR8) but that's cheating slightly as I was at a VXR-organised event.

Except they won't. Many owners have already offered money, and yet none have been accepted. BBS just doesn't want to build fitments for Lamborghinis.

I didn't say they didn't offer any fitments for Porsche. There's just very few owners have found.

Those are also stock. Knowing Ferrari, they probably helped BBS develop those rims for their car.

Would wheel adaptors work by any chance? I could have sworn I've seen a Gallardo at a car show with BBS rims on it. I know wheel adaptors are a bad idea in terms of the rims staying on your vehicle, but just a thought.
