I was out pushin carts at my work, and heard the disticint buzz of a subaru.....LOUD one.

I turn around and watch it fly past at about 60 mph in a 45mph road.....in hot pursuit......a silver C5 corvette...

they were playin a little game of cat and mouse, and I bet was gonna be cool to watch, but they both drove outta sight....

also, a porsche turbo came into work.....white. white and silver wheels. beautiful car. he comes in often. full titanium exhaust.

also, today, I saw a blue convertible vette. C5 with obviously had a cam in it. he parked it on the side of the building and was waiting for his passenger. I asked him some questions. said it had a mild cam, new heads, and made bout 450 hp. sounded pretty healthy............

Really big 1971 (I think) Cadillac 4-door, yeah, the one with the 500 cube engine, the largest displacement V8 put on a production car ever. 500lbft of torque from factory. Swap into a Mustang II and OMFGWTF

I have driven a 1971 Cadillac Coupe deville with the 500 (most are actually 472's) and it was...... slooooowww. I tryied to push the car around a bit (pace) and it was unresponsive and just awful (as expected) but interesting to say the least. :D

Doesn't someone on FChat own an E55 Wagon and is located in the south? Might be him. Nice Diablo spot as well. ;)

Yes - I thought his was black though, and he doesn't post about it in the GA section so it's probably not him. I've seen a vid or a pic or something though. They're sooooo rare -- I went nuts and the people in the car with me THOUGHT I was nuts -- I tried to explain it but it fell on deaf ears -- someone actually said "I see those every day!" Er, yeah. I've seen two... ever!!

My first post in this thread! Here's a few I've seen over the last few months.

Ferrari 430 Scuderia

Jaguar XF-R (on holiday in spain)

dude, come on, it was a 2 and a half ton land boat with an auto trans and what not, that is why I said yank the engine and fit it into a Mustang II; besides, there are (incredibly) many speed parts for that thing, just swapping heads for 472 units willl yield 12.5:1 compression! there are headers, cams, avobe all intakes, everything, and its freaking, freaking cheap. I love that engine :D

And yeah, I know, the 500s came in the Eldo only, later on in most, then succumbed.

And the car behind the Lambo Diablo would be a 55 Dodge with American Racing Torq-Thrusts IIs, but Doug is horrible and let it slip away ¬¬

Man, I just saw a black Hyundai Genesis V8 roll up while I filling my car at the gas station. Gee whiz. In person, this car looks incredible.

I've seen several and have the exact opposite impression. It's kind of boring looking. I think it blends in considerably.

Well compared to the pictures on the net it looks really good. Maybe this guy's was different, though. The first thing I thought when I saw it was VIP style, except without the chunky rims.

Glad you like that E55 AMG wagon Doug, few people do! I love em, my friends dad has one and he took me for a spin in it once. Holy hell. Thats fast haha

Cool spots everyone! Doug, you get to see a lot of Diablos eh! Thanks for the PM btw, I'm still in awe!

Is anybody else having problems with Photobucket? I've been trying to upload my latest pics since last night to no avail.

Oh yeah I know the engines have good potential and I am aware there is many people fiddling with them (A cousin of mine for example) but in stock form even in a 2 ton+ car it was slow and generally unresponsive/lazy (not to mention had a huge flat spot at off idle but that was probably just that paticular car), my father used to own a 2.3 ton Chevy suburban with a 350 in it and that was much faster and responsive and I have driven a uncles 454 Suburban which was much more lively.

:D

The atmosphere there was nuts. I shot the Diablo and Phantom and got the **** OUT. It was a true Hollywood-style club with cars jamming the whole place, loud music, people standing out front, awesome cars in valet, weird-colored lighting everywhere, people screaming things from the road... a rather tense situation. I didn't use the flash and my photos were the better for it. The classic car was pretty cool & was not the only one present, but I just wanted to leave fast.

Same!!!

That's actually only the second Diablo I've seen in Atlanta - this was the first over nine months ago. Together, they make the third and fourth Diablos I've ever seen, which is unfortunate because I truly believe the Diablo is the most aggressive-looking car ever made, and I love seeing them - one of my favorite cars of all-time. I wish I saw them more often!!

As for Photobucket - no issues here! Sorry! :(

There is a simple solution to this.

But it's gonna cost ya. ;)

Aaah your cousin is fiddling with one? Cool!!! Keep me informed, over here in Mexico nobody does oddball engines, everyone is ford 289-351, chevy 350 and Mopar 360 and that’s it, the most oddball engine I’ve seen really hopped up was a 8-71 blown 700 horse 455 Pontiac (which I ran shotgun in the 67 Firebird its strapped to, incredibly fierce).

The engines were so stupid because of excessive smog hardware and the intakes they wore, not to mention low compression… you know how it was in those days. I still want one. In a Pinto.

Aaah, I see, Paparazzi Doug… oh well, if you happen to see old cars you know you have to nab them.
