I think i posted the Dino when it was parked inside a few weeks back. Same for the Aston DB7. Funny thing about the Dino though, I thought it was sold. I hadn't seen it around since I last photoed it inside on display yet yesterday there it was again.

The car park we used for our parking over this weekend had this beauty parked up, a Koenig fettled Ferrari 512BB. I believe they only imported 101 of these officially:

Apparently the owner had left it there since early December while he had his garage rebuilt!
 
Only outside the US were they called M635CSi, we got it as the M6, though we did also get the 635CSi. So, between adding an M badge to a 635CSi that's already here, and importing a M635CSi from overseas, I'd say a badge job is much more likely. Plus I don't think those are the right wheels for an M.

ahah , i know.

I don't know if those cars are common in the US , since these were made by Ford Europe and manufactured in Germany (that's what the internet told me atleast). You know anything about these cars?

I just thought it looks rather nice 👍
 
I don't know anything about the Taunus. I don't believe they were ever officially imported to the U.S? I do know they shared that V4 with other cars of their period but that's about all i know.:lol:

I would agree they're good looking cars.👍 They look much like our Ford Falcons and Granada's from the same time period only 3/4 scale in size.

Definitely a cool spot.👍👍

This Taunus was based on this , the Cortina wich i think it wasn't imported to the US aswell.

Yes, and many made the same or less. Power output of over 100 hp was not that common in European market before 1980s, it's true that American cars made much more power at the time, but European cars were also a lot smaller and lighter than them. For example of the power outputs of the least powerful version of some European cars in the early 70s:

1974 Volkswagen Golf 1.1 - 49 hp
1974 Volkswagen Golf 1.3 - 59 hp
1972 Fiat 124 1200 - 65 hp
1971 Saab 96 - 55 hp
1970 Renault 10 1300 - 59 hp

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's just an SL500 with a very convincing badge job. R230 SL55's have quad exhaust tips, as well as a few other changes.

Jokes on you, I didn't have a bubble to burst in the first place. :p

Anyway yeah, you're right. I got rushed in and didn't pay attention to the exhaust tips when looking at the car. I already know the different between SL500s & 55s. You didn't need to tell me that really, but thanks anyway.
