A friend of mine here has exactly the same colour/colour and in spectacular condition. It's a really stunning car. He'll be interested to see this.

One for you Doug - I think I made my rarest spot ever yesterday and I almost didn't take a photo of it. Bentley Turbo RT - Just 50 units produced! Will put a pic up later.

I saw this today on my drive home from class, thought it was kinda neat because I have only seen one other Smart, though multiple times, and it was at a dealership.

Seen this Alfa Romeo Spider multiple times and have seen it multiple times the past couple of weeks. I have also seen it parked close to that spot on a few other times.

Saw this Mini Cooper couple weeks ago while I was walking to my car after class and just now got around to posting it. I have only seen two original Minis and this was the second. The other one was yellow, right hand drive, and I do not have a picture of it, nor have I seen it in a while.

I saw this Datsun 240z waiting for its owner to return from the fish&chip shop. It was in very good condition both inside and out (The Datsun, the fish&chip shop was a bit dog-eared:D).

and, this Daimler V8 250. Apparently 17,600 were made. I think I prefer it to the Mark II Jaguar.

A Lancia Beta Spider, which was designed by Pininfarina but actually built by Zagato. They only made 9390 world-wide.

And finally this very tidy and original MIV Supra

The Tiguan is already on sale in Europe?

I'm jealous!

Its an incredibly good deal for a crossover, IMO. Particularly if it indeed is as capable as the early reviews had said. The smaller version of the VWT2 seems like a good idea, particularly if the fuel mileage is good with the 2.0T.

I saw this thing today, it looks like a GTO but didn't have Pontiac badges on it. Any thoughts?

They sold them in Canada? Also you'll have one hell of a time registering a Canadian car in Michigan, the SOS hates doing it from some reason.

could either be a Holden or a Vauxhall (was there an Opel version as well?) but since it's registered to Michigan (didn't notice that at first) I'm not sure, the key would be to look at the nose as the Pontiac had the corporate grille

It didn't have a Pontiac grille, it was just a black mesh opening with no badges on it. I thought it might be a tuner GTO or something.

That's pretty much how it looked, guessing maybe a guy did a conversion or something.

there was an article in the papers about the guy that owns the phantom,599 and drophead.

To date, he has racked up an average of £600 pounds worth of fines a month - and pays the lot. And he always parks in the same place, on Glasgow's city centre double-yellow lines.

His car is a Rolls Royce Phantom. As car geeks will know it is two metres wide, six metres long, weighing two-and-half tons. This makes it to big and heavy to be lifted and trucked away.

The owner is one, Alan Love, and he is happy to pay the fines. "The problem I have is my car is too big to fit into any of the car parking bays or car parks. I don't mind paying; I gets me close to my office, and the wardens are all very nice."

A few citizens are irritated by what they see as the rich getting special treatment and breaking the rules, but he always gets a ticket and always pays it, unlike the mystery woman in Glasgow who has amassed £28,000 of fines and never paid one. Other citizens think he brings a bit of class to the street. For thei part, the council play tough with any driver flouting regulations but, "He pays a high price."

Council officials, wary of public opinion, threatened to buy a bigger truck. "I've heard the rumour," says Love, "So, I've ordered a Dodge Magnum Pick-up from America. It's far too big and heavy to be lifted or sit on the back of any removal truck."

Last year Glasgow City Council collected £5 million in parking fines, £1 million down on the previous financial year. With that fall in revenue it will be shrewd to allow Mr. Love to keep parking and paying.

The VT Coupe was never released for sale. It was only a concept. The production version was the Monaro. Joey's version has a VX Commodore rear light conversion.

yeah i was thinking that cause i have the models of both the concept cars (the mustard one and the blue one) wasnt sure if they did make it to production though.thought the vx had the non joined rear lights? or was that just the hsv's?(or maybe a buttlift in there somewhere)

I'll almost guarantee that it's a GTO with Holden body and exhaust mods. It wouldn't be hard at all to buy a cat-back exhaust (and if it splits after the rear axle, just an axle-back) for a Holden, along with the trunk lid and bumpers. You just bolt them on within an hour..

The "base" VX (Executive,S,SS) had the non joined tail lights, the upper-spec (Berlina,Calais,HSVs) had the joined lights.
