Anteros XTM roadster

How come no-one commented on this?!

A very good-looking car, in my opinion. Quite rare too!

Yes, it's a really good spot. I'd never heard of it before let alone knew that it packed 400 bhp (600 for the supercharged one) and carbon-fibre panels. I'm not sold on the stying though. I looks way cheaper than it must actually cost.

IMO it looks like the Pink Panther Mobile

We thinking of the same car?

But anyway, the only part I'm not sold on is the back, but then you don't see it while you're driving anyway.

Sorry about the small pic, the only bigger pics google would offer me were 1000 pixels wide, and I'm far too lazy to resize it myself and host it.

I'd not seen the back of it. The back makes it look even more like it!

So I took my sister in law to the tourist area of the island. Here's my finds:

Some Replica, I'm sure

Mondeo ST220 (beatiful in this colour)

Oh, what is this coming on my left?

pardon my ignorance, is it a 360?

Lexus LS600h

Lexus RX400h

Porsche 911 Carrera S

I went out looking for some old games (got Suzuki TT Superbikes for PS2 and the PS1 GTA trilogy) and spotted these:

Mustang Mach 1 (I freakin' LOVE Mustangs!)

S-Class (pimpin'!)

Roadrunner

Karmann Ghia

ML 55 AMG

TT (I almost couldn't stand the last generation unless they were tuned, but these are looking pretty cool, especially in black)
03.jpg

The more common cars that I wanted pics of:
E-Class, RX-8, 350Z, Camaro RS, Ninja, Sky, C5 Vette.

Other spots included a Cayman S, two WRX STI's from two generations ago, a couple ~'65 Mustangs, a newer Ninja, and a Triumph TR6. I also browsed through a Porsche/Mitsubishi dealer and saw the Evo X. They look SOOO much better in real life than they do in the magazines and video games.

V1P3R: whats going on with your camera, those two photos look really wierdly warped..

Serge D: Check your white balance settings, i think you've got it set to something odd, the auto mode seems to offer the best results for most cameras.

Recent stuff:

Volkswagen type II? i recall someone saying such about a similar looking car, barely managed to save this photo from a severe lack of time to adjust for huge underexposure:

My first jaguar XF sighting, got up close and talked with the owner:

Spot of the week/month/year
(so far, for me anyway...)

Chevrolet Corvette C4 ZR-1:
img3785ds9.jpg

I saw this car quite some time ago and only managed a snap of it on my crappy cameraphone. However, i didnt realise it was a ZR-1. (i was in a hurry for work and just snapped and went) Yesterday, i went out to my car to try figure out my new Tomtom and spotted it across the car park, where it was parked the first time. Decided it was worthy of a few DSLR shots for the DYSAGT thread, when i saw the ZR-1 badges i was shocked to say the least.
wikipedia
A total of 6,939 ZR-1s were manufactured over the six year period.
1990–1992 375 hp (280 kW) 370 ft·lbf (500 N m)
1993–1995 405 hp (302 kW) 385 ft·lbf (520 N m)

Looks like i got an early version..
I wonder how many of these made it to UK shores....

Awesome spot on the ZR-1! A family friend had one when I was a kid and I still remember going for a ride in it. I don't think I've seen one since. quite a rare spot you have there.

i love how its parked in front of a Ross. he spent all his money on the car so he can't afford decent clothes anymore, i guess.

i agree with you on the TT. the old ones look silly. half a sphere on top of an oval.

saw an A5 the other day and i must say that looks much better in person than it does in pics.

That's a '67 Camaro (no sidemarkers) with '68 doors (no quarterlights) and an LS-Series small block with a painted truck manifold (fair choice.)

Tasty.

ABSOLUTELY not.

Its a 70-71 'Cuda with a 6.1 liter new-gen hemi, that's the stock 6.1 liter manifold painted.

Edit: No 6.1, but one of the new 392 inch crate engines, a 6.1 manifold isnt that high. 550+hp there if it's stock... altough the car will be another absolutely useless show piece, look how deep in the fenders the brakes sit, it will be so low (air suspension maybe) you wont be able to more or less drive it, let alone drive it hard.

I absolutely loathe what Chip does, even if he really is a nice guy.

I thought that was funny too - and the owner's a she, making it even more of a shock that she's at Ross.

Spotted a GTO on my bike ride. I must say I was pretty disappointed when I heard they were haulting production on these. They were definitely one of the better American cars, imo (... even if they were built in Australia... actually, that's probably why it's one of the better American cars: because it's not American).

Indeed,

Foose did say something about they widened the front fenders, another picture.

As for todays spots?

I saw atleast 20 Continetal GT's and Flying spurs, a couple Quatroportes but cant be bothered posting them. My main sightings are a metallic Grey with silver stripes Ford GT and a Orange Diablo again with a large GT style wing (wasnt quick enough with the camera foe both :( )

Oh and a Pontiac G8, first VE Commodore I have seen here. (Have picture) :D

Serge D: Check your white balance settings, i think you've got it set to something odd, the auto mode seems to offer the best results for most cameras.

My Digi Cams are allways on auto mode.
A sony that I bought for 120€ and a Traveler for 100€.
Cheap Digi Cams makes cheap looking photo's.:)
And if it's not the digicam than it's me.:dopey:

Today I saw one of my best spots so far I think.

Aston Martin DB6.

Agreed, awesome spot on the Aston Serge! I love classic British cars.

The Diablo have black wheels? Might be able to pin-point it.

Speaking of Lambos, I "caught" a Reventon today. However, my photos of it at LoD are with the cover on as the salesmen were told to believe it wasn't even there. New (& local! ) owner paid $2 million for it.

Beautiful Jag, indeed, Serg (although, is it just me, or was the side panel, between the front and rear wheels, designed a little too low?)

More commons:
A4(?), Miata (same feelings as with the TT), C4 Vette, Mustang GT

I think road going Karmann Ghia's are a bit rare, I think I've maybe seen one since I started driving.
