If you know anything at all about perspective, you would know what we're all talking about. The picture is either skewed or the car is really weird-shaped. I don't think getting hit could cause that, but it's another possible explanation, and the one that Joey is pointing out as a possibility.

That was a dealership/show spot which don't count.

I was half expecting to see my car in that last shot. Grove street car park, Coventry? I normally park in front of where that lexus is parked to go to uni, wierd.

Serge, that's the new Laguna and Megane Coupes you've pictured, which were only officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show last week! They're probably not even on sale yet, I know they don't come to the UK until January.

I see the Meganes and the ST all have green on white plates, not the usual red on white plates. Are they special dealer plates?

I saw both the new Laguna and Megane in Singapore two weeks ago. Had no idea they weren't released at the time. I thought they would have been all over Europe. The Megane looks quite funky. I also agree that the Laguna hints at the aston V8V and DB9.

Who cares? I just want to see pictures of cars, if you don't like it don't look at them or ignore the thread.

Haha, that's great, always good to meet a fellow student. What car do you drive? I'll keep an eye out next time I walk through that car park.
 
Guys, looks like I've accidentally started a little flame. I sincerely apologise for "moaning" about the lack of response (no more) to the DBR9 and Prodrive P2.
I promise that in the future I will not repeat my mistakes, and if I do somehow post spots from showrooms or similar I will not be expecting any response, although that's not to say comments aren't welcomed.
Please tell me via PM if I've made a mistake and I will edit my posts
 
Don't worry about it. If people flame you for posting something you think is a good spot, regardless of where it's taken, just ignore them. And remember that people don't comment on every single car posted in here since there are just so many posted.
 
No, by all means post show room pictures if it's as rare as a car like the DB9R. I mean normal cars in the show room are boring but a rare car is a rare car no matter where it is.

If that's the general consensus then I'm going to post a car that I ironically saw in a showroom today that nobody has seen on this thread so far (other than maybe at an international motor show). I almost browned my pants when I drove past it on the bus and got off at the next stop to go back and take a photo. Ironically it is parked in the window bang next door to my favoured drinking establishment, but I just wanted to make sure I got the pic in case they send it somewhere else as I'm sure there can't be many, if not any, others in the world. Pics later...

Without wanting to sound like a killjoy on the matter, Giles original post clearly states:

&#8226; Dealerships and Manufacturer/Tuner sponsored car shows do not count. This means that a race meeting/track day/concourse show/owner's club meeting does count. However, everyday "traffic" sightings are more interesting.

Once again, who really cares? Giles put that rule in place so people didn't post things like standard 911's at a dealership. There are several cars that are really rare that may only be found at the dealer. I've posted cars from dealerships before I see nothing wrong with it.

The only thing I have a problem with in this thread is people not showing pictures of the cars they spot with excuses like "I don't have a camera" or "I couldn't be bothered to". Sure we are going to see things we can't get pictures of but explain what you saw, where you were, and the circumstances you could get the photo.

Honestly if you don't like seeing dealer spots skip that post or put that person on your ignore list. If Giles has an issue with that I suggest he make a thread entitled "Did You See Anything Good at a Dealer Today?".

I don't have a problem with it myself, but a dealer spot photo will often cause plenty of argument about whether it should be there or not and at the end of the day isn't in the spirit of what the thread is about (according to the rules)

Anyone could start a thread called "Did You See Anything Good at a Dealer Today?" - it doesn't have to be a mod.
 
People who break rules end up in jail or worse, get banned...
