Apologies for the mega-long post. This was about 4 hours in total on the same footbridge, and not even including all the M3's, Maseratis, etc...

HOLMFZOMGWTFOIFGHHFJSVHDVSJCDJS Insane spot! I've always wanted to see one of those

Also, the way odd Saab stattion wag in last page is epic. Never seen one before!
Yeah, I have no idea what it is, except it's a Saab. I see it fairly regularly though.

my first Merkur, as far as I'm aware, XR4Ti, though I probably wouldn't have recognized one before NISMO I think spotted one a while back. Note, this is a LUXURY sports hatchback. From the shortest lived luxury marque in US history...
merkurxr4ti.jpg

That was marketed in Europe as the Ford Sierra XR4i (although not sure if the spec is the same) and was relatively common back in the day, but not so much now. Pretty quick, there was a 4WD version too, but the daddy of them all was the Sierra Cosworth RS500, now that was a pretty fast car.

I wonder if that's my mom's old one. Remember it from my childhood when it was new. In Ohio, too.

There are 2 for sale here in Germany. Both for just under a milion Euro's. Plus minus 1,3milion USD. I rather buy one of those over a Veyron, anyday. That car is pure sex!!!

Rue
WTF?!?! That's amazing. Wasn't sure if that CLK GTR was even still in HK let alone getting used on the road. Stupendous...

You know, I'm really liking this 'stand on footbridges for several hours taking pictures' thing :)

HOLLY.
FREAKING.
HELL.

Well now this has got to be one of the top spots of this freaking thread EVER AND EVER, right there with the McLaren F1, the Duesenberg, the Maserati MC12 and such stuff. IMPRESSIVE.

The 348 with bronze wheels also looks cool!

It's quite addictive isn't it? It's like playing Pokemon or something. Gotta catch 'em all. I'm going to that spot after work today... Bet I won't see anything. I keep hearing Ferraris going by my office window though.

I was up on the footbridges yesterday late afternoon in Wanchai, saw a few things but never in my dreams could I prepare myself for the CLK GTR... IcyJ you da man

I would imagine it's like fishing. Rue, where would you recommend I could do that in sunny Bristol? :)

(at least I think it was you who said you lived here for a while)

Yes, I did... Er, haha that's a tough one. Bottom of Park Street? Saw an F40 and Diablo down there a couple of times... It's not really a hot-bed of supercars is it?

Welcome to the thread, SkateNj. We've had a right brouhaha with people posting claims to what they have seen but no pictures to back it up and it has become a somewhat sensitive and dividing subject in the thread. The basic rule is that if you've come here to tell us about something you've seen, you need to supply an accompanying picture that you took. Hope this helps, we're looking forward to your pictures... Hope you enjoy ours!

A couple more from today from me...

Owned by a gentleman from Burlington, NC, who'd accompanied his wife on a shopping expedition into my town. Said they don't take it out all that much but hope to get up to VIR for a track day before cold weather sets in. Car is in immaculate condition.

Love that 356! The owner really puts the miles on it at the weekend - great stuff! There are some seriously nice wheels out on the HK roads at the moment, eh. My contribution...

Just awesome. I was lucky enough to see a Daytona Spider when I was a kid, not seen a Daytona since, at a museum or show, nada.

Random fact - The black Daytona Spider in Miami Vice wasn't the real deal - it was a replica.

Rue - Was kinda kidding about Bristol, though I see a few nice things around my way (Westbury) and Clifton. A lot of old stuff I will post here soon, I just need to sort my pics but I have a week off now so no excuses :)

Yeah, I thought you were but after a long Sunday at work someone forgot to flip my sense-of-humour switch back on. Definitely post some older stuff. I'm happy seeing random cars from the 70's and 80's too. Looking forward to your pics, I can try and guess where they were taken from the backgrounds too ;)
