Did You See Anything Good Today? [Read First Post]

I have friends all the time say when I show them a picture of a nice car on a computer that the car is "ok" or "alright". The minute they see in person they change their mind and are like "wow that is really nice".

You truly have to see them in the light. The GTR was "Ewww" on the Internet. Seen one in real life… different reaction.

I agree fully. I used to the be the same way but now I'm like let me see it in person first haha

a few from today.

be warned though, if you're not into pornography, don't look at the last picture

MG Midget, tiny little bugger! I hardly ever see them, and it was raining even! Too bad my camera focused on the door of my truck instead of the car...

bad timing... no, I'm not taking a picture of a Chevy pickup. Gasser of some sort, pretty badass, I thought even this much was worth posting.

1970 Monte Carlo?

Advanced Design, unsure of year.

911 SC looking sharp

what's this supercoupe?

and, what do you think happens when the light turns green?

Holy hell, Goddin. That Opel is absurd. Awesome. Did he floor it good or what?

Also the gasser is a 55-56 Chevy, and the "supercoupe" is a 1941 Olds.

Amazing post, my friend 👍

He accelerated reasonably at first, quick but no tire squealing, only a little weight shifting, pulled ahead of the car next to him about 20-30 ft in a matter of moments, probably going 25-30 mph, then nailed it. Lurched forward and left a trail of smoke behind it for about 3/4 of a second, and was probably doing 55 mph (in a 40 mph) when he let off. I had to turn, so didn't see it again.

I'd glimpsed this vehicle from afar before, or going the other direction, but never close up like this. I'd already decided it was somewhere between cool and awesome, but now it's no question. Kudos to the guy who made this and drives it.

Some not too exciting cars, still nice finds.

Nissan 350Z

VW Golf Abt (see double pipes, yes same on right side... missed it, car left Autobahn, so I had to be quick)

Porsche Carrera GTS

Toyota 86 GT

Jaguar XK 4.2 (nice plate combo)

Sorry for a bit blurry quality. But normally I tend to drive about 160-180 km/h and have to shoot my pictures in "no look mode". Not taking too much risks...

Cool. Witnessing stupidity on the street is always good 👍

You live in Hong Kong and leave home without a a camera? I want to punch you.

i used to bring it with me all the time but carrying a 7D around in this weather is horrible...plus i decided a while ago that hangouts with friends should be that and not car photo outings :P

No photos of the Mulsanne in the second photo?

damn, didn't even notice that, was a bit distracted by the white aventador and the white V8 Vantage

Some British spies again there. :D Looks like Mr. Bond chose an E39 for his mission this time...

E90 painted in nice bright green metallic color. Unforlunately, this photo turned out too bad to fully represent how awesome does this paint look.

That S15 I've posted before has its bumper & side skirts replaced and spoiler removed now.

Skyline R33, I guess its owner is in progress of some real tuning. He can't be stopping on this stage...

No, don't look at this Lada. Look at this Golf. He had to get over this speed barrier veeery slowly, but then he just disappeared speeding away. :D

GAZ 24 Volga (early production, 1970-74). It's getting tough these days to find old Vogas being driven in traffic...

Also, I saw a bunch of good 4x4 vehicles today:
The spare wheel on the roof gives +50 to the "Brutality" parameter of this Pajero Sport. :D

Dodge Ram 3500 Heavy Duty. A real rarity there.

Nice Pajero

Sweet lifted UAZ, the model is definetly 31514.

And a few more UAZes and LandCruisers wearing big dirt tires, but I didn't consider them worth shooting.

I get it, but it's that "depends on area" case. There was a pic of Audi A6 (C7) from somewhere in US, and some people said this car is rare in their area. Although I see lots of latest generation A6s in Moscow every day.
Rams 1500 aren't very rare here, but this 3500 is probably the second or third one I see in my area.

Yes, it's AE86, or maybe AE85, this depends on the engine. However, we usually call them all "AE86" by default. :) Great spot. 👍

That's alright, I certainly don't blame you. I'd probably be incapacitated from excitement if I lived in Hong Kong.

Hey everyone, new to this site so please be kind =)

Anyways, I saw this car in the woods behind my girlfriends house while walking our dog. I am not sure specifically what kind of car it is because it is in such bad condition, but through research of my own, I concluded it was a 52 Ford Mainline, the 2 door version, but I'm not really sure, any thoughts?

Hey kartingkid, welcome to :gtpflag:.

Also, you need to upload your pics to a image sharing site, like photobucket, then paste the IMG tags to here.

Yeah I figured, I was just having trouble getting photobucket to accept my pics, guess ill keep at it lol

Sorry for the touble, and thanks for being so nice about it haha :) ill reupload them when I get home tonight

I like how clean it is but the color looks a bit flat in some areas. Clear coat should fix that 👍

One of the best looking bumper for R33

Saw the insanely clean matte blue M3 today. I'm thinking this might be the new color of my car!

It's called Frozen Blue and it looks awesome. If iI remember correctly was some expensive paint.

Are cars with weird problems good spots? It appears this Lincoln's rear shocks gave up the ghost. Also note the especially raggedy Eldorado next to it.

This matte black C63 sounded quite nice when the light turned green.

This car comes out a couple times a year, and I was finally able to get a picture of it. It looks unrestored, and I'm assuming it probably runs, unless they're pushing it in and out of the garage. The people (or person, I have no idea) who live(s) there is a total hermit and never comes out, and often leaves all the lights off at night. The house isn't exactly overrun by weeds, but it's pretty crappy. I've nicknamed it the meth house. Any clue what this car is?
