I'm a huge japanese car fan so this shot was awesome. This picture is good quality cause I snatched my sisters phone. You can see my reflection from the mirror.

Me and the family went on a random drive to southern Indiana today, and the weather was nice, so I got some decent spots.

Unknown and unknown truck.

Not sure if this is an El Camino or not, it looked different. Stupid blur... :grumpy:

Pontiac _______?

Overall, a good day! :)

Well, First pic looks like a late '50s/early '60s Cadillac and a Ford F-100.

Second is definitely an El Camino, though it might be the rarer version known as the GMC Caballero.

Last one Probably a '65 Parisienne.

nothing amazing

Holy hell these colors are so vivid my screen is melting

Anyway, remember that Italia I posted several centuries ago? I edited these pics slightly so the colors are a bit more lively:

Ferrari 458 Italia! Its owner was very kind and allowed me to shoot a video, coming soon!

Right. Here's the video I promised, heavily delayed, but still here :D

Stopped to get gas and had to reach for the camera several times before I was done filling up the old F-150. Guess I found a new spot! I'll have to hang out in that area more when I have some time.

unsure 40's?

unsure 50's?

Got a photo of these going by too, but then saw them parked getting ice cream up the street, so you get better photos of them. TR4 and TR6.

and an El Camino with a mean hood thing (that points back at the driver? Is that just more room for the engine?) And not sure what year, mid 70's?

Then later at work spotted this... Malibu? My first car was an '80 Malibu and this reminds me of that.

and a nice Camaro. '68?

so nothing awesome... because I missed two! Long range focus didn't work so well, so you don't get to see the Caterham 7 that stunned me around the corner from my work (I think it went out for pie at Baker's Square, otherwise it should not have been in this neighborhood,) and you don't get to see the Aston that blasted past at 85mph+ (in a 65) just as I merged onto the highway. Fastest I could get the old straight 6 to push me was about 83mph... so no chance. Looked like a nice one, but didn't read the badge, DBS or V8 Vantage S or V12, something like that. Didn't get closer than about 1/4 mile away from either with my camera out and pointed in the right direction. Phooey!

(The Land Cruiser FJ55 I posted a couple pages back was shot at about 1/4 mile, but at full zoom and stationary so the focus could work... not driving.)

Awesome finds, Doog. The blue Volkswagen you were unsure about is a Type 3 fastback if I'm not mistaken. Other than that, this post was very Beetlicious and it has my approval! 👍

Wow that blue and black Camaro is georgeous. Lots of Mustangs too, the highlight was the '68 minus the dent and ugly spoiler.

'67-'68 Camaros are my favorite over the '69 simply because of the more round-ish body and more muscular look (and I much prefer the tailights.) Still like the '70s ones best thoough.

Could be the lighting in that M3 pic but, that M3 is not Laguna Seca Blau. Laguna Seca Blau has a little bit more blue saturation than that.

Just at work, except the 1st three were in the 1/2 hour before work driving around.

Is this what I think it is? If so, it would be my 2nd Crosley. Hotshot?

NSX!

2012?

Chevelle?

@Doog: Pretty sure the one you thought is an Impala is a ~1963 Mercury Comet. 👍

^^And that is definitely a Frogeye Sprite.

Holy hell people you were absolutely on fire this weekend! I was computer-less for the entire weekend (repairs) but I'll help with the ID's from like three pages aback.

Here goes:

Me and the family went on a random drive to southern Indiana today, and the weather was nice, so I got some decent spots.

Overall, a good day! :)

No Ford Falcon but a Plymouth Valiant, probably 1966 or so.

No idea on the firetruck  but awesome!

the just-the-front pic is unmistakably a 57 chevy.

The thing you can barely see in the Beetle (and sand Toadies) pic is a VW Type 3 Squareback (wagon).

Nova, and... I think it's a 63 Galaxie, barely recognizeable.

The old truck is a Ford, about 1962.

"Not sure" is a 1937 Chevy. Yes it's the same car in the next pic, and yes it's a Buick.

In the stupid BMW pic the yellow thing is a Nova. I can't distinguish the other car well enough but it also seems like a Nova.

Unknown is a 1961 Mercury, the truck seems like a Chevy. Nice Trans Am too.

The unknown in the next pic is a Buick. Cool Camaro too.

The Buick or Olds, is a Buick.

Buick yet again.

Yes, an El Camino with some ground effects.

Yep, a 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix. Cool car.

The Viper is also sporting some Henessey aero upgrades.

The first pic post-Bloomington is a Model A, like 1928.

Now for Goddin:

Stopped to get gas and had to reach for the camera several times before I was done filling up the old F-150. Guess I found a new spot! I'll have to hang out in that area more when I have some time.

The unknown 40s is, I think, a 1950 Chevy, but I'm unsure. Cool car though.

The unknown 50s is an amazin 55 Bel Air.

And yes, Malibu pro-streeter, and yeah! 1968 Camaro. Nice post.

Now for Doog:

Took a short trip to San Diego, got some nice spots.

Wow wtf, what a post. Let's see:

The Porsche is a 356, and it seems to be real and not a replica. Cool.

The 50s Ford is actually a 57 Custom Sedan.

The nice license plate is bolted to a 67 Nova. Cool car!

Of the old Mercedeseseses I have no idea, I hate cars with names that are a letter soup.

The Porsche 924 is actually a 944.

The z06 seems to be a ZR1.

The thing you have never seen in your life is a VW Type 3 Fastback.

The wagon of some sort is an Olds I think.

The Woody is wood-inducing (sorry), amazing car dear Lord

The Rolls is a Bentley I think... or a Jag.

Your something old and unrestored is a Mercury Comet.

The VW you americans can't get was probably on trip from Mexico, it's a freaking Polo.

The Chevy something is a Biscayne.

The Gallardo is a Performante and that 911 Cabrio is a Carrera GTS.

Nice spots. 👍

Thanks for all the help. 👍

But Cano, I'm pretty sure the Corvette was actually a Z06. It definitely had ZR1 wheels but if you look hard enough you can see the red Z06 badge on the front fender. I didn't see the clear hood part either.

Could be the lighting in that M3 pic but, that M3 is not Laguna Seca Blau. Laguna Seca Blau has a little bit more blue saturation than that.

The picture's very overexposed making the color look a bit off, but in person, it looked legitimite to me. Looked a lot like these:

164ve.jpg

9002201444_df2e7bbc2c_c.jpg

While I'm seeing a lot of results for Laguna Seca Blau that look like the one I saw, I'm also seeing a lot that have more blue saturation like you said, which is throwing me off.

img0687um1.jpg

Could just be the difference in the lighting making the saturation different, though. Hmm.

This could be a pretty long post, so apologies in advance, I've cut it down as much as I could.

Long story short a couple of mates and I were without a bed for the night in Manchester so I drove to the nearest services on the motorway and we kipped in the car. We woke up and walked to Macdonalds, on the way back this lot pulled into the car park.

Lets start with the best:

That is Laguna Seca Blue. None of the other available blues for the E46 M3 come close to that; they're all mostly dark/metallic blues.
Lotus Exige S

So in love with the new styling of the Exige. Shame the deadline for Lotus to make the Elise/Exige meet the US requirements past just before these hit the market. :(

Could have easily been custom painted to look like Laguna Seca Blau. Or it is more likely that the photo has a saturation difference like stated a few posts above.

Not that it really compares to the rest of cars but is that a DS3 racing in the background?

It looks like just a normal DS3.

Took a short trip to San Diego, got some nice spots.

Old wagon of some sort.

9000994975_282fd58c2c_c.jpg

Oh Baby Yes! That would be a 1973 - 1977 Oldsmobile Visa Cruiser. (Or the lower level Cutlass Wagon) I'm really digging the colors of that one, and the white-walls too. 👍

Custom paint a car to a color the car comes with from the factory. Genius. :dunce:

That's LSB, & that's all there is to it.

So I was right, Olds. Well I haven't lost my touch, I had never seen one.
