I can't say I frequent the drifting forums a lot, but this is something I'd like should be it compatible with the programming. People may not see why that and that could possibly be a problem, but it somehow might. But I'm surprised no-one has mentioned how awesome it'd be to try and drift a FWD R35. ;)

would deffinately love to see this put in game somehow, i mean... if on Forza 2 you change your rwd s15 into an AWD s15, why cant PD do it?

Because you're talking about engine swaps in combination with switching the drivetrain.

I agree with OP, would be hectic to have more selection in drifting cars

the drift trials are not the point.

PD knows that they left out a lot of things us drifters want, such as custom paint jobs, VARIETY OF CUSTOMIZATION (body kits, wheels ect) they also left out engine swapping and conversions. Not to mention that all the cars sound like vaccums.

Don't get me wrong, i would LOVE anything and everything to with with customizing cars! But if we had the ability to put our own vinyl's on cars, how many d***s would we see? and cars with boobies on them? If PD were to put bodykits onto cars (which they've done SOME of, but very little) we would STILL complain about the lack of variety and the amount of choice we'd have. It'd be a LOT of work that PD would have to put into it and for them, it wouldn't be a money maker. That's all PD is focused on right now, firing out the DLC for the extra bit of income. Why do you think they're releasing GT5 2.0 on DISC? Unfortunately i think that PD will leave all the lovely bits that we want, to NFS and Forza.

It would be very interetsing to see how they really record the sounds. The cars sound so bad that it seems like they do it on purpose :ouch:

Am I the only one that noticed the description when buying the Variable Center Differential says 0-100%? I thought they would have fixed it by now. I wish they changed it, it would open up a lot more cars to be drifted. I voted for 0-100 in the poll!

Shiro please rename the thread title to

VOTING POLL - RWD CONVERSIONS FOR 4WD CARS!!!

So everybody will recognize it and watch the thread to vote

Though you understand the changes and manpower it takes to make a DLC? But, Japan isn't a DLC friendly market like America or Europe is. For example, with the tons of title updates Street Fighter has, Capcom Japan still went with the disc option. From Street Fighter IV to Super Street fighter IV to Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition and finally to Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ( 2012 version). When AE came out, there was a DLC was that offered half the price but the Disc version came with costumes for the newer characters that came with it. ( and other updates) All that took player testing, months of leaks and guesses but we still play majorly with the versions we have.
Granted that Capcom isn't PD though there are alot of players within the community who still want certain characters and what not. But, You could always tweet KY and make him see a petition but he has to go through an a whole lot probably like Ono-san has.
Shoryuken.com has influenced the changes in Street Fighter IV but it all came down to Capcom. ( I am probably missing some people like S-Kill who use to play for the community also who has helped the demand of change) Overall, everything went to a disc.. and I have all three titles ( SFIV, SSFIV, and SSFIV:AE)
If you guys wanted a new mode in, probably it will come in the next disc.

Call me judgemental, but to make a s chassis awd is borderline stupid...the only awd conversions that make sense are those for rally purpose, or to make a fwd car more viable for time attack purposes..I shudder to think of the nonsense that would take place in the gt world should they adopt the engine/drivetrain swaps avail in forza..s2000 powertrain in prelude, disturbing...rb25 in an s13, acceptable. Ugh and don't even get me started on the LSx swap nonsense....

My point was that it is doable.

I'm pretty sure flying cars are doable, not so sure its a good idea to do it. There never was an awd option to the s chassis, and I imagine to effectively turn it into one, the end result would be more r chassis than s...after weight gains, fitting issues, and suspension alignment, any traction gains would be negated by technical issues..meanwhile evo and subie owners can cheaply(relatively @ least) perform a rwd conversion in their driveways...no point in driving wheels that were not meant to be driven, but to handicap oneself for a specific use(drifting) makes a bit more sense...I would hope the good people @ pd concentrate more on what makes sense as opposed to what's "doable"..otherwise get rdy for rwd converted prius' complete w/ lfa v10s and hello kitty decals(you may think no one will, but if you give an idiot a chance to be an idiot, you're the idiot that thinks something good is going to happen)
