So I am participating in the development of a racing game. We are using Unreal Engine 4 and the team wants me to create the base tune for a vehicle, which will be the standard and we will develop the rest of the lineup. Most of the car is done but I have hit a roadblock: I just do not know how to tune the differentials and the car behaves a bit weird right now (mostly because of the diffs, I guess). ANY HELP WILL BE WELCOMED!!!
Here are the different areas and the base numbers:
· Type = open, locked, viscous, clutch pack or torque bias
· Gear ratio = 2,3 (I guess this should be in Gearbox but whatever...)
· Preload = 0,5 (HELP)
· Power stiffness = 0,25 (HELP)
· Coast stiffness = 0,25 (HELP)
· Clutch preload = 50 (HELP)
· Clutch pack friction = 0,4 (HELP)
· Power angle = 45 (HELP)
· Coast angle = 80 (HELP)
· Torque preload = 0 (HELP)
· Power ratio = 5 (HELP)
· Coast ratio = 5 (HELP)
It also has the option for center differentials (not gonna use it AFAIK) and for inter-axle diffs too.
Seriously, it'd be mind-blowing if anyone here can help me!
