    FAQ:
    What is it then?

The latest offering from the rally lovers at codemasters.

So it's Dirt 5 then really?
No, this is the sequel to the acclaimed Dirt Rally from 2015. Dirt 4 will likely get it's own successor later on

    Sim? Arcade? Both?
Simulation. They want this to be the most realistic rally game out there. No sim or gamer modes, just pure sim.

What's new from the first one then?
Alongside the changes and new features above. The physics have been taken apart and rewritten from the ground up. Improving the relationship between the car and environment, improving Tyre physics, aero modelling and much more to make it feel as authentic as possible. New weather effects and new environmental effects will add to the challenge.

    So a season pass eh?
Yes, for the first time ever in a Dirt series game. This will entail 6 new locations across rally and rallycross and ten new vehicles.

    VR support?
No, not at launch at least.
    Update: is coming, Oculus confirmed.

@kikie , so the Deluxe edition won't have the Alpine nor the Fiat then?

It is safe to say that these two cars will also be included in the Delux edition and the cars I mentioned are an addition to the standard edition.

That is how I see, I could be wrong though.

As I understand you get them in your garage from the get go instead of having to unlock them in game.

I will probably get the standard Day One edition unless someone can tell me what Dirt Season 1&2 entail. Anyone know?

    From the Codemasters Website:

What's confirmed is a total of 6 new environments and 10 early vehicle unlocks.

The "early vehicle unlocks" sound a bit vague to me, it could either imply something similar to The Crew 2 where all cars are free while Deluxe Edition owners get them at an earlier date, or another scenario where car packs can be bought at a later date for owners of lesser editions.

The Deluxe version includes all DLC for the first 2 seasons. Which means an additional 6 locations and 10 cars.

In the UK the deluxe version is £20 more. I would expect a similar difference across euros and dollars.

I've had mine pre-ordered (Deluxe version - digital) since they were announced, I'm just a sucker for rally titles.

I suspect that the early unlock cars will work the same way it did for the original Dirt Rally, in that you have these cars in your garage without having to purchase them. I got the Escort that way as a pre-order bonus for the original DR.

The only car that is available uniquely is the 911, which will be a paid for DLC at some point down the line.

In regard to what is in the season pass, Codies have said they will be letting us know soon what is in at east the first season of content to allow people to decide before launch.

Same here, just love rally. Threw the dice today and pre ordered the deluxe version. $129 in OZ. Wishing for VR DLC in future for more immersion, but not a deal breaker for me. Just hoping the physics surpasses the standard set in DR.

Still not sure how the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally en de Alpine Renault A110 1600 S will fit in the Deluxe Edition.

Good thing is that gamemania has the steelbook edition.

They'll still be there but I would assume they won't be starter cars.

From what I understood is that people who order the Deluxe Edition will have the steelbook included. My order shows it also. Nice touch
