Being that this game is all things rally ( well mostly ), we do a fair amount of trashing the car.

Here, a dedicated screenshot thread to the hulks of twisted metal et al.




Similar rules to standard screenshot thread:

I didn't know about this thread when I took these, I managed to 'surf' this one over and land on 2 wheels and come out unscathed the second one I hit hard and crushed my car but didn't take the pic..So action Crash from me to start off and more wrecks to follow as Mr @MeanElf knows I like my crashes in DriveClub 👍

Mr @torque99 's exuberant driving style 👍 I'm always far too cautious. One day I'll produce pictures of a full-on-wheels-off wreck - but in the meantime, mine are going to seem a bit tame by comparison to you chaps.

In replay mode this looked like the stage separation part of a rocket launch, the vibration on the car and the lazy falling away of the spoiler - it was quite poetic.

@MeanElf I used to be a careful driver on Sega Rally, CMR, Ferrari Challenge, GT2/3/4, Toca series and Grid etc etc but having had takedown & dodgems to survive on 'Most' MP events over the years I have slowly turned in to an aggressive 'do or die' driver! This has helped me in Rally as I just go for it and do have quite a few DNFs but being used to the calls (1-6 over all the rally games I have) I turn off all HUD now and just listen and it actually makes me faster not keep checking the arrows on screen.. If in doubt flat out or.............'pics on this thread^^' ;)👍
 
Oh, it wasn't a critique Mr @torque99 more a note of admiration as I'm just not competitive enough to 'risk' pushing it that extra bit (same in DC if you'll recall.) I'm with you on the zero-HUD approach too, always feels better.
 
Yep I think you find your own driving style and what you are happier with, having the wheel set up makes me a little more like 'pushing it' I find..Look forward to more of these wrecks on here (I love these action pics) 👍

It certainly felt that way - no, I just tumbled along the straight up to the corner you can see at the end of the first picture. I did tumble down from an upper level in D2 on the one Croatian stage though, landed on the road and was about to continue when the game reset me :lol: Sorry for giving the wrong impression.

RallyX seems like a sure way to get a few tumbling cars in a race 👍
