I'm finding it increasingly harder to find clean lobbies, I love racing R3 and have spent a clean fortune on cars/paints/tunes and whenever I do get a good room I usually have one great race and then the room will fill up and it will stall on loading because of someones crappy connection :banghead:

A prime example was last night, I had just joined my first lobby, an R3 on Hockenheimring.

I know straight away this is going to be a difficult race when I see people using R3 Evo's and the likes, I don't get why these people think they are going to be competitive, it's like they join just to ruin everyones race.

Sure enough, i start roughly midfield and I have the Evo behind me, I'm in the F458 so obviously I'm not going to have a great launch compared to an Evo so hopefully this guy understands that......

Alas no, the lights go green and before I've even gotten out of my grid box I have an Evo pushing me across the track, I didn't spin so I decide to let it go and keep racing, until I get to the first corner and we all start slowing down, I notice in my rear view a Lambo Aventador powering along at about 130 not even trying to slow down, take about 7 of us out and takes the lead of the race :grumpy:

It's hard finding people who like racing R3 and its hard finding clean racers who actually leave you space if you're up on the inside of them round a corner, it's like they have no clue you're there.

I think I'm going to start uploading race incidents onto Youtube and shaming the drivers :sly:

I do hate when that happens. Can't be helped, except for...

...better crash physics. Someone shouldn't be able to plow on through 4 or 5 or even 7 cars without having them spin uncontrollably into nowhere. Yet these games have that happen, so people can ram easier.

Custom lobby. If you want a more realistic setting use collision always on and damage at sim. For some reason this seems to bring the better, clean drivers.

For some reason my custom lobbies never get anyone joining them lol, hard to find people just want to race GT3 cars :P

That's how the group I am in does their weekly races. This way, no one intentionally crashes into other people's cars, but still provides for legitimate accidents to laugh about and keep each other from taking it TOO seriously.

I still have not even raced online yet. I always play in private rooms with friends and AI cars.

I did some racing today. Man these guys are idiots online. One particular race ,after getting through the demolition derby crowd, it was down to 3 of us trying get first place. The guy in first was very clean. Great driver. I was on his tail trying to get that place but keeping it clean. Try to make a pass but backing off when I seen it was going to be a bad move. The guy in 3rd? A complete idiot. He bashed 2nd from me and was trying to get the guy in first. At this point I knew that the race wasn't going to finish clean with all 3 of us. So I figure I'll just make sure the guy in first wins and that THIS clown doesn't. Took his ass out.

I'd rather get 3'rd with a good clean racing getting first than getting 2nd with some jerkoff getting 1st.

I was doing some drifting earlier on, thought I'd try a public lobby for a laugh...

Did 3 races, came 1st every race by a fairly large margin of points, didn't hit anyone else or anything... And then I got kicked.

Currently sitting in the top 600 on the leaderboard, I guess that's why.

So over it, was just about to rant myself. I don't have a lot of friends that care for racing games, and have no one to participate with in private lobbies. Sad enough to say, the only public lobbies with level-headed people seems to be stock car racing. So sick of waiting and waiting, then having to back out of the race because there is no point in finishing when all you do is get punted and plowed into the grass. Really, really over it.

EDIT: Not to mention the people who bring in Hummers, and those who BLATANTLY don't start when the light goes green so everyone plows into them.

One nice thing about all of the stupidity online is when you start near the back of the pack, you're not doomed to spend the whole race there. I still don't know what determines starting grid order, but at least everyone has a chance at a podium finish. It's not uncommon to go from 13th to 3rd in a single corner.

Personally, I think online AI drivers are much more of a problem than crash-happy players. I've never had an issue with the AI offline, but add some latency and they become the worst brake-checking, blind-ramming rolling obstacles I've faced yet. At least humans are predictable.

Had that happen to me many times too.

Apparently, my XB GT is a cheater car... It handles like a boat and has a very low top speed rofl.

Well you can start by adding all of us as friends. We're obviously into clean racing. When you see us online, invite us to a race. I've been having a lot of clean private races lately. And we almost always use R3 cars.

Just got done with an online race, and here are some videos from my experience. The first video, I'm the camera car, just facing backwards. This is what I saw in my rear view mirror.

Here's the second video. I'm the Silver Mercedes.

Had a horrible day online today, pretty much every room I was in I ended up getting kicked out of because I seemed to in the middle of every bit of dirty driving today and as a result seemed to get the blame for it all :(

SilentDrifter - Im laughing so ****ing hard over that first video. Not because I like hitting people like that but because thats just absolutly ridiculous. There should be a way to mark people as a dirty driver, and then have all those dirty drivers race against each other instead of the clean racers. And obviously it would have to be weighted somehow to where the bad drivers had WAY less of a say on driving styles than the good drivers considering they would be the ones to downgrade everyone for no reason. Idk, this game is plauged by people that are just utterly dumb. Once you get into organized events its fine but public lobbies are a bust. I really need to get a copy of IRacing

I think the lack of buttons for looking left and right for wheel users partly causes the issues and dirty driving. You just can not know if someone is left or right from you which results in lot of unnecessary incidents.

It is a bit sad and cheap that T10 and MS try to sell kinect with this approach. At least having the buttons to look left/right would make it possible to avoid the most blatant wreckers and avoid hitting people accidentally...

That was the funniest thing I saw this week LOLOLOLOL

Just need to change your wheel layout, and it should solve most problems.

My Profile > Controller options > Wheel layout 4 > Rewind on Back "ON"

A/B/X/Y are your camera controls.

Went into a D class lobby and it was pretty good.
3 guys ended up bringing out the hummers. They lasted one race before the boot.

Overall I enjoyed my self.

I doubt I'll race in a public lobby again. I started in the middle of the pack of an A class race, and after getting plowed through by about 5 cars at the start of the race, I was knocked off course a couple more times by the same car. Needless to say, I came in dead last. After the race they voted to kick me from the room. :banghead: I was one of the cleanest drivers there!

I won't even bother racing online.
I'm a clean driver (well I try my damned best to be), but it wouldn't matter what my intentions are judging by those videos and the stories I'm hearing.
I wouldn't even give those idiots the satisfaction of ploughing into me just once.

Not online at all? Join up with some fiends and race privately much better.

hahaha seriously man that has got to be the funniest online race ive seen. That first white car(i think its an s2000) got taken out like it was made of cardboard.

They need a collisions OFF Damage ON hopper. I remember being out in front and the guy in second waited for a hairpin and then used my bumper for brakes and rocketed me about 200 ft off the track. Now he was in first, but I simply sat at the side of the track and waited for him to come around on his third lap. I sent him flying off in the exact same corner and then reset my 360.

That video above is probably a perfect example of a guy that got rammed off the track and got revenge at the start of the next race. I'll always pit a guy that rammed me in the previous race.
