When rallying, the car can accumulate dirt quite quickly, nearly covering the sides and bumpers of the car in probably 2-3 laps around Nordwand K Trail. I'm not sure for grip racing but I would imagine accumulating dirt to the point to around the side skirts, and that's just after countless hours of racing.
Not very, they get dirty during a long race, but clean themselves somehow before the next race.
I have driven over 100,000 miles in GT5, and never washed a car, my premium Ford Focus has over 20k miles on it and still looks great in photomode!
